I've yet to make any huge profit other then from Ram Leathers and Field gear that I can make. Although a Swordbelt +1 sells for a goodly amount on my server (150k+), trying to get a HQ of the Swordbelt doesn't feel like it's worth it.

I haven't really updated this mainly because i've been leveling up support crafts instead. I need to raise Alchemy and Cloth to make Black/Blue Cotehardies and Smithing and Cloth for Brigandine. And i'll need Goldsmithing if I plan to hit 100 in leather >.<

Umm..you're telling that to a pro crafter >.> Yea...I know about it...I already posted how it worked on some other topics. I'm only taking Leatherworking to 100 on my main. Others will stop at 60 so they can act as supports.

I can't afford the skins even if I wanted to yet ><
I'm going to try some time but i'm more of a crafter then an NM hunter so getting the skins on my own is out as well. If you can find people who want it made, you can charge them to make it for them if you want. I usually charge 10% of whatever it costs at the AH.
To answer your previous question (which I didn't answer), you can take all crafts to 60 without penalty. After that, you have 40 points to put into a craft. You can take one to 100 or one to 90 and another to 70 or two to 80, etc.
Fishing is exempt from this rule as it is NOT a craft like most of the crafters on my server think of it as.

Ooh goody, that means I can take fishing and another craft to 100 (probably Cooking), though I'll eventually get the rest of the crafts up there too. Good guide by the way.

@lvl 90 leather craft what would u craft to make the money u lost in crafting leahter?

Probably things like Sniper Rings and Winged Boots and such. Sniper Rings sell like crazy on my server and even if I buy the materials (which cost around 400k), i'll make a profit of over 50k. I do have a strong feeling that getting to 90 will take a LOT of work...
At the moment, my Leathercrafting skill is at 71. The only synth where I lose the least amount of gil at the moment, is making Tiger Jerkins. But before I do that, i'm raising my sub crafts up so I can make things like Brigandines and Black Cotehardies. These will make me a little profit I hope...

Dragonhope know what lvl cloth and smithig do i need to craft Brigandine?

I'm guessing both near 60 since it uses Velvet Cloth and Darksteel Sheets in the recipe. My smithing is only 23 and it says my skill is too low still. Since a couple of people on my server want me to make Black Cotehardies, i've been raising my Alchemy first to get it out of the way and then planning on raising Clothcraft up to 60. I'm going to be mixing woodworking and clothcrafting together so I make profits from the fletchings I make by turning them into arrows.
Hopefully, i'll have enough gil to take Smithing up to 60 after that in order to make myself a Brigandine. I'll be saving all the Darksteel sheets and stuff I can spare in order to try for a +1 Brigandine though
*Imagines wearing a Dragonhope namebrand Brigandine Armor +1 and starts to drool*
