Ah yes,

the inevitable taking it for the team self sacrifice every Paladin will have to make many

times. BUT...consider this... if you don't run away ( and I am ashamed to say I've seen

pld's on my server turn tail and run and leave their group to die ) you will most

definately get a good reputation for being just what a PLD is meant to be. (Gah how cheesey

does it get?)

And people will mourn you like mad, so you feel all like... noble and

shit. tongue.gif And you hardly will ever have trouble finding a raise.

Tho I will say I did

get yelled at a few times for taking it for the team from people that are just waaaay too

hardcore into the exp, so much that they take it into other people's games. ( "Why

didn't you just run?? " ..."because the mages were still not in the zone" "SO? Now

we have to raise you and you lost 500 exp, I'm quitting this team, you guys need to get

serious " .... O_o riiiiiiight...true story )

It's

quite flattering when you get PT invites like crazy. I've been getting them consistently

since level 20. Mind you, I don't do pickup groups. I only make my own since it's my a$$

on the line anyway. I've been invited to groups that have the weirdest make up... and

sometimes you can just tell that it could be bad news. So you have to be careful.

When I make my own groups... first thing first: get THF (makes my job helluva lot

easier). I'd always like a BRD but never seem to see ANY online.

Oh, and as for

provoking no matter what your HP is... sometimes you need to use your head. If you got no

HP really, and the monster is almost dead and your other two melees have their group Blink

still up, they can take a few hits w/o a problem.

But for the most part, you

provoke every 30 seconds, no matter what. I had to argue with a WAR once recently when my

HP was dropping and the healers were out of MP (so was I)... he told me to stop provoking

since he still had like 300 HP left and I had 100. 2-3 more landed hits on me would've

done me in. So, he used his 2hr, got aggro...took 3 hits and was dead.

Lesson 1:

In any MMORPG, treat everyone else like idiots. It's in their best interest.
