What is the best type of weapon for a Paladin? And what is the best weapon at lvl 30 for the Paladin?

but for a lvl 30 you can either go Centurian Sword or the Broad Sword
they get replaced at 34 by a Hunters Sword ^^ so which of the two you pick doesnt matter.

I just bought the lvl 57 Gluttony Sword. 44 DMG and -1 to all stats except VIT which it adds +7, which is what a PLD needs the most. I tend to not use Great Sword too often due to needing the Shield for "Shield Bash" It doesn't ALWAYS stop the mobs casting, but it can be used to get that "extra" little hate that you may need. I plan on keeping that Gluttony sword up through 70 at least. Maybe higher. (danged thing cost me 430k >< )

Club + Shield tanking against undead.

Great Sword if you

are for some reason not the tank so you can do more damage.

Staff if you are not the

main tank against undead (unless GS isn't nerfed like regualar sword, polearm, and ranged

against skeletons) and want to do more damage. The problem is there are a very limited

number of good staves that PLD can use.

I carry around multiple weapons in case I

need them (or just to build up my skills). There isn't usually a problem switching between

weapons if you are a Paladin. Most groups will not care at all.

I use a

Great Sword, and I believe a Paladin with a great sword is really underestimated and under

appreciated. There are many pld only great swords, and I STILL am a tank, and will do better

at it than a warrior. Currently I'm using the Royal Swordsman's Greatsword, and hope to

upgrade to the +1 version. I hated using a one handed sword, which I did until lvl 28 as a

pld. Though I've had strangers critisize me, everyone who's ever partied with me seems to

enjoy the fact I can tank and do damage.
