No Healing Breath only heals a PT member who is low in health, it doesn't actually cure the Wyvern itself. Your AF Breastplate gives you a Wyvern Regen feature that will slowly cure your Wyvern.

okay. then that means that it actually isn`t a good sub job. so the samurai must be the best once u get to lvl 60 with dragoon. am i right?:here

Depends. I'm not wasting time leveling Samurai to sub. I've found more advantages from subbing Warrior with Berserk, Double attack, and the Job Traits that come with it (Defender even when I'm working with a Paladin who sucks). But for Elvaan and Galka who don't have as high a connect rate to build TP, maybe sub Samurai for them. I can self renkei with /WAR just fine so /SAM isn't *that* big of a deal for me ^^

Things to know about subjob for dragoon

Samurai:
Store TP1 = 10% extra tp per hit (penta thrust + lance = 66% tp back)
Store TP2 = 15% extra tp per hit (penta thrust + lance = 69% tp back)
Third Eye = Dodge one attack (use it to dodge high dmg attacks like pugil's screwdriver)
Meditate = 60% tp restored over 30 sec and 3 mins reuse time

Warrior
Provoke = face it you wont use it
Berserk = you will only use it if the tank is realy good cuz taking 200+ dmg per hit with it on is no funn (at high lvl)
Double Attack = the best thing you get it adds an random extra attack like 10% of the time so its basicly a 10% tp/dmg boost
Defense Bonus1 = 10% extra def
Attack Bonus1 = 10% extra attack (but does not stack with Dragoons Attack Boost1)

Mage subjob
cast any spell be it 5 mp poison or 46 mp cure3 and the wyvern casts Healing Breath X

Healing Breath number is desided by lvl. I dont have the exact numbers but somewhere around 20 - 30 it goes II and around 50 it goes to III and i hear that it goes IV at 70 or somthing

without AF helmet
rdm/whm/blm = heals anyone in the party under 1/3 life
pld/drk/brd/nin = heals anyone in the party under 1/4 life

with AF helmet
rdm/whm/blm = heals anyone in the party under 1/2 life
pld/drk/brd/nin = heals anyone in the party under 1/3 life

PS: Healing Breath does not draw agro witch is a good thing smile.gif

SAM really isn't a good sub until 30 :| No abilities that are even useful until 15 (Mind's Eye), and the one skill that's useful doesn't come around until you're lv60 DRG.

DRG/MNK to tell you is pretty good i know a DRG/MNK what he does is boost like crazy when he has 100 tp and use penta. he does like 500+ dmg like that and also add boost with your jump attacks it really works out from i seen. Also sam as a sub for DRG is good intill you have your DRG at lvl 60 and SAM is lvl 30 you get the tp gain skill for lvl 30.

Drg/thf is a pretty good subjob, can Sneak attack/Double in the lower lvls till you get penta. can sneak attack you jumps as well. Right now I can get both Sneak/High Jump and Sneak/Jump off in IT battles.

DRG/MNK in theory would work for the boost with WS, and counter which would come in pretty useful. I'm just saying /SAM isn't good until you're lvl 60^^

Actually on Odin my Japanese friend have advised me to have all SAM, THF, and WAR at 35 for SJ usage for 60+ . WAR is good for general purpose, SAM is good when ur PT has NIN/ PLD + 3 other melees so you go all out pental festival, and sub THF is extremely useful in using yokodama for holding the tank still.

Looks like Im back in the lvl grind >< /cry~

Dragoon/Thief does the most damage of the subjobs. I almost never miss and critical hit a lot more then anyone but Ninjas and Thieves. Samurai has awful stats compared with Thief and Warrior and TP Store isn't all that useful considering without it you get 12%TP a hit with a lance and with it you get 13%TP. Warrior hits more per hit and Berserk is a good way to boost attack. Sneak Attack + Double Thrust does more damage then a Dragoon/Warrior with Berserk Penta Thrusting for the most part (usually not every Penta Thrust hit hits). Also the best thing about stacking multi hit weapon skills with Sneak Attack is that you don't miss any hits.

Also the advantage of Thief as a sub is at 60+ (where Dragoon can't compete with Dark Knight anymore) is that you have hate control to your repetoire.

Uhhhh............. the samurai gives BIG tp boost. I would wait till i`m lvl 60 then use the samurai as sub... with the enormous TP boost u can use WA allmost all the time! ^^ that kix the thief easily.

wouldn't DRK be a great sub?

60DRG/30DRK

would have

3 + attack modifiers
1 + accuracy modifier

3 jumps
weapon bash
souleater
last resort

I was

experimenting w/ DRG... keep in mind my DRG is below lvl 10...
but I was switching

subbing WAR and DRK each other even level
and found that DRK for some reason was giving

me higher VIT and WAR was giving me higher AGI...

Now, I am a Mithra, so would that

have anything to do with why the stats changed like they did. If not, according to those

little stats, DRK would be a better sub because it was higher VIT, again this is low lvled.

I know higher lvl WAR gets all the DEF stat boost and what not...
So, how about that

^^?
