My god people, what does DRK have to offer for ranger? Agility? God no.

Soul eater? Piece of shit when used subbed. I can't see any reason to sub this class.



Only sub choices (all the rest are 100% useless) are WAR, THF, NIN, SAM.

I still don't see the point,

really. If you want that extra AGI then take NIN and go overboard on accuracy with dual-

wield and bathe yourself in the headiness of Blink that everyone hates on me for not caring

about. (Note my sub is WAR.)

Treasure Hunter? Gilfinder? When you're farming

they're great. But that's not saying anything about a RNG specific sub, cos they're

great for everyone when farming. Sneak Attack? Useless. Trick Attack? I'm sure that 30

damage will really hold the mob's hate. Flee is good fun, but far from necessary and it

doesn't make you a better fighter.

Now, don't get me wrong, THF is ten times better

than MNK or some other left-field sub that has no relation to the direction the RNG goes. I

just don't understand why it's accepted as one of the optimal RNG subs. It's fine, just

not optimal.

As far as DRK goes, I wonder why DRK is sooo bad. DRK compares very easily to WAR.

I'd like to see a comparison, because I can see where Raith is coming from with this.

reasons are simple:

WAR has better AGI.

WAR has Mithkabob in a can.... err,

Berserk.

Those are the reasons to use WAR in general.

I'm mad

that i leveled up thf as my first job. I leveled it because i wanted to be a ranger, when i

finally got ranger to a decent level (30). i was told to try warrior... so i leveled warrior

up to 16 and used berserk... did an extra 40 damage per hit and missed less often! i've

partied with rng/thf and he couldn't even come close to competing with me for hit % and

damage.

I also have a measley level 14 ninja which i love to sub when i solo for

the simple fact that with utsusemi i dont get touched ever. I'll use this when camping

harder NM's who's drops are rare or ex so that treasure hunter doesn't matter.
