I wanna learn how to edit video. Problem is, I don't know where to start. ^^; I haven't found much help on this subject, so I guess my first question is, can anyone recommend a fool-proof video editing software?

hi there.i could need help with the same thing 
.im working with fraps to make my videos.
i wanna learn howto cut scenes out to give the movie a music file or write text in it too.and i need something to compress its impossible that my videos are most over 1gb ^^.
