NIN is wayyy to expensive

I got my

nin to 15, then i realized parties were not possible without nin spells, so I talked to some

higher lvl nins about tenshodo sounds good right. I have to use 50 to get zinc ore to give

to someone for a scroll, then i can be tenshodo, well ok i guess. Then I have to do a few

tenshodos, and then finally, go to norg toget my scrolls...nin is too hard/expensive.

thoughts^^?

i kind of

understand what you're saying but correct me if im wrong. you're speaking in terms of

joining the tenshodo? actually, becoming part of the tenshodo is really easy. just get a

Tenshodo invite (sells at the jeuno AH for about 2k-5k), speak with the mithra in Lower

jeuno at the front desk of Neptunes Spire (first door on the left). when she asks what you

want, choose the third option (its invisible) and she'll explain about the tenshodo. trade

the Tenshodo invite to her and you have now become a member. you will recieve another

Tenshodo Invite to give to a friend or sell back or whatever u want. you can then enter the

doors in the back of the room into the lower level area where you can buy many elemental

scrolls for ninja and lots of equipment. and not too bad of a price either, only a few

thousand per spell, no worse than any other casting job really. the only expensive part is

getting the tools for the spells. even then that depends on how much you use them. however,

i will not lie ninja is a pretty expensive job. it's good to work on a way to generate a

steady income before choosing a job such as this. and yes at later party levels, ninjitsu

spells are a must. just consider a whm without his Cures or a war without his Provoke ><. if

you're gonna be a ninja then hell you better BE a ninja haha. build up fame for the quests

for utsusemi, tonko and some other scrolls for your ninja. if that isnt what you like to do,

you can always just buy them at the AH, but then you run into the money issue again ^^;. no

matter what you do tho, ninja will cost you. it's the price of perfection =)

My

crafting skills are all high levels. I'm in fishing, smithing, goldsmithing, and cooking. I

make some decent money from all 3 crafting skills, but I usually get the most from fishing.

Even though its really boring it pays off.

sigh.. nin

is not a class you should be leveling first heh, it's expenvie because it was added in an

expansion, for people who had already been playing for 6 months. If you don't have the

money to play ninja imo you should level another class you can use to farm cash then go back

to ninja once u have a solid income.

there's nothing worse than a ninja who doesn't

have the cash to use their skills.. if you're just complaining about the cash it takes to

_get_ the skills.. wait til you get into the 40's and it costs you about 20k a level just

to level up. tongue.gif

do us all a favor and level ninja when you have cash happy.gif

I

actually agree with Smurv, you shouldn't start working on NIN if you're not prepared for

it. You should make sure you have a pretty big bank roll, then start on NIN.

ninja

really isnt that expensive until 37 i expect...because i nvr had a lot of gil and i still

manage to constantly have 2 stacks of shihei with me...i dont kno mabye its just me ^^;. of

course, ive nvr really had to main tank before since ichi doesnt last very long...especially

against yhoater mandragoras (2 attacks) smile.gif i accidently lvled thief first so i had to go

back and level war and just doing that got me more than 10k from lvl 1-12 so that helped me

a little smile.gif

And your grammar is wayyy

bad.

You mean Utsusemi: Ichi? Just buy it at AH for 100k or so.

I'm level 62,

You need all the best equipment to get a party. Emperor's Hair Pin, Ochuido's Kote, etc.

I spend 10k a night on Shihei powders (198 of them). Other Ninjutsu is useless, why

spend 5k-20k on enfeebling powder when a BLM can use basicly no mp and do it for free.

Unless you got 1 million+ gil by level 50, don't bother. Unless you are keen on NM

hunting.

You use the Enfeeble Ninjutsu

to keep more hate on you. I guess you probably have never been the main tank or you did a

horrible job at keeping hate in a PT with BLMs and other heavy damage dealers. No, i'm nto

saying you didn't but from the way you're saying that the enfeeble powders are useless,

leads me to believe that you were never able to keep hate all too well in your PTs. And

i'm saying this because i've partied with NINs and they WILL have trouble holding hate if

there is a BLM in the party.

Don't

think of Ninjaas "wayyy to expensive", rather think of yourself as "wayyy to poor".

It's not even that expensive. You go mining a few days, get your Tenshodo fame, get your

blink scroll. You buy your elemental ninjitsu, a few k each. You spend at most 10k per day

on Shihei, less if you're not the main tank. Lets put it this way:

Ninja from 1-30.

Say..3-4 levels a night? No Shihei til 12, you probably won't be a main tank til 15. So

we'll say 10k a night from 15-30. Thats 5 nights. At most 6. Thats 60k over a week. Thats

the same cost as a ranger, if not less since theres nights you may not be using your Shihei,

and if theres a night a Ranger doesn't use arrows he's just stupid. Ninja just requires an

initial bankroll. If you think its too expensive, start a different class. Warrior is cheap

up to and past 30 depending on weapon type.

Wait, do

you have to buy the Ninjitsu stuff every time you want to perform one technique?!

You buy

powders every time, not the scroll itself.

It is called 'Provoke' and with a THF 'Trick Attack'.

And

Arhat's Armor. (Emnity +10 or so).

Assumption in the thread! Assumption in the thread! Help, help, my brains' being

repressed!

He probably tanks nicely, rare as it is to have a ninja who can. I can

craft three of the different ninja tools on my own... they're not horrifically expensive to

make, and when you start criticalling, the sting of keeping your tool inventory up goes away

quite well.

yea most

ninjas who are 45+ level up craft to make their on shihei, since it's cheaper than buying

flat out..

a friend of mine has the habit of putting his unused shihei stacks on his

bazaar at 200g a pop while leveling, last weekend some JP must have ran out or something and

bought 2 stacks @200g per shihei lmao...(when a stack of 99 only goes for 4500 normally on

our server) needless to say he was a very happy ninja =p

All im saying is...it seems tough to get money, I suck at hunting, and my

crafting skillis mediocre. Im trying to fish, but its sooo boring, so im lvling up my thf (8

now). I should be fine thanks for the help, not so much for the flame action.
