TBH capping marksmenship on thf is a waste of gil, take a subjob like drk, war, rng that can cap it for less gil.. becuase thf cant use normal bolts, they can only use Status bolts..

I play on fairy, and the cheapest bolts are gonna run me for a full quiverx12 70-100k, and if your not lvling properly your throwing bolts to the wind...

I guess there is always the gun trick, but still.. such a waste of gil to do it on thf...

I will admit tho.. capped marksmenship makes everybody else cry, becuase you can solo shit that ninja's have diffcult with biggrin.gif

First of All Kudo's to Rollingthunder and to all those who has added to this post. I'm more than enthusiastic about returning to leveling up my Thief.

My thf is currently level 42, and I paused it there. Primarily because I was in the rythm of pulling from my 75 Ranger, and at 42 I was not helping my parties at all, lol. But I have always wanted to return back to level up my thf, and I had alot of questions that were answered by this post.

However that leaves me with one question, basically derived by what I read in this post about enmity, and attempting to be equipped with enmity gear to transfer to the tanks. Would Dorado Sushi be good for a thf to use as food since it has enmity, would that transfer during SATA as well, or has anyone tested it?

Some reason i still think blm's and there overpoweredness (hello mana burn ks30/99) are best money makers >.>; hate to say it (I can see myself getting flamed for this)

I don't really understand your point but thief is awesome. It's just not in high demand or a "first pick" for invites because it's not considered fast like the DD's that people usually want (war/nin, monk, etc). And any job can be a good money maker, thief just has some natural assistance.

I am a level 55 thief, it's a really fun job and i agree with what is said mostly, I know alot of thieves out there should learn to play thier jobs right, I am tired of people saying all thiefs suck, cuase some people aren't good at SATA and can't get or stay behind people, and don't know how to damage deal..... Well that's my opinion lolz

Well, when your poor and Stealing Beastcoins takes at least 2 hours to steal at least a stack, nothing really you can do. Farming NMs doesn't help either. What would you suggest?

Someone has to have pointed this out by now, but at 25 /RNG and Bloody Bolts and Racc gear are the way to go. I'm level 29 now and still getting chain 4 on Ts. At 30 I expect to get even higher chains due to the Noct set increasing my RAcc. Every time you make contact you do about 20 damage and get 45/90 HP drained. You have to make sure they proc well on what you're fighting though.

25-27, Quifim Crabs
27-30/31, Yug mandies.
31-34, Yhoat mandies
35-?, not there yet! Maybe Beetles?

I was tipped off to this by Tarucharu, who says it works for any job that can use Bloody Bolts. It's simultaneous insane damage and Cure 2 spam.
