Here's some of my thoughts after lvling THF - yea some repetition but i like when things look complete

Weapons to Keep Skilled up
dagger
sword - spirits w/in, for fafnir maybe
club or h2h - @lvl70+ leader may invite u for King Ranperre's tomb (bone type m0bs)
marksmanship - everybody loves acid bolts i.e. def down... @higher lvls bloody bolts r ur friend - NM fun
archery/throwing

Subs:
WHM - Castle O
WAR - berserk etc
DRK - stun
NIN - soloing NM fun!
MNK - if u got h2h lvled up for king ranperre's tomb

lvl 1-14
/rng is nice to try especially for soloing. Cap for ranged is pretty much the same. Sharpshot is good. rng acc+ gear is pretty much the same. Ammo is cheap. A lot of my friends complain about not doing enough dmg; this should remedy it

lvl 15+
if u want to be a really good THF have many subs/weapons lvled up. a lot of our dmg comes from SC. I'd try to complement the blm. be4 blizz, blm's strongest spell is fire, /mnk + h2h + combo for fusion. then sword for fast blade for distortion.

on shadowstitch issue:
great for fragmentation @jungle lvls. Thunder MB!! until water2 then back to distortion >.>

on utsusemi:
if u r non /nin, as long as u r not lvling off torama/tigers/raptors, u should be able to pull w/out ever getting hit

when it comes down to being a good THF, equipment is important, but teamwork is prolly most important. complementing ur party's jobs and strengths, and having every1 workin together is key imo

added alternate exp area for lvls 11-20ish. also added subjob info for both selbina and mhaura.

plan to add alt exp areas for lvls 20-30, adv job quest info for nin, and info on how to get all of your starting ninjitsu. possible other subjobs later.

mugoi makes excellent points. thanks for reminding me that i may have to exp in the tomb. i didn't think i had a reason to lvl h2h weapon skills, now i do. see guys i told you i'm still constantly learning stuff about this job.

good points with the subjobs too. oh be sure to holla at me if you see me around diabolos ^^. good to know there are other decent thfs around huh?

Current update includes:

redid certain maps to include areas not seen, namely the secret beach in valkurm dunes.

finished adding all the alternate exp zones lvls 15-50.

Coming up!

adding a few new nms to either camp or watch out for.

adding directions on how to get to tele-altepa crystal from bastok mines.

adding directions on how to get from east altepa to rabao.

adding nin adv. job quest info.

adding quested ninjitsu info.

adding lvl 40 thf af info.

also, possible more map updates.

i'll be moving home later today. don't have broadband access there, so i'll be stuck on a 56k. this means i'll probably have to separate all 3 macros, or i'll never get an sata off.

i dunno if it's that bad, i'm just assuming. eventually, i hope to get a broadband connection at my house.

hehe here's a thought on lvling areas -

I'd choose places where we get damage multipliers off the mob

e.g. instead of crawlers nest (i hate this place w/ a vengence) for lvl 38-41 I'd go for gustav tunnel

why?
mob types include bats/gobs/damselfly

we get dmg multiplier on bats, damselfly have like no hp. build tp off bats, SC off damselfly

RNG and DRG also get dmg multiplier here....
piercing arrow > viper, double thrust > viper

plus every1 else is lagging up the nest anywaz

Oh ya -.- I have (|Crawler's Nest|) (|No thanks|) in my comment box for a reason, that place is evil and there isn't anything you can do to stop it; therefore avoid it ^^ Believe it or not I have locations no one knows about lvling in but very smart NAs or JPs because they have had the game longer. But the thing is no one ever parties in those many forgotten places and I'd like to keep it that way ^^ so I'm not telling ^^ (I have a number of places that has mobs with lvl ranges so that I can avoid CN/Dunes/ altogether) They are easy to find if you just use your brain to deduct what areas have what lvl mobs in them. Just takes some research ^^ sadly my research was lacking on my comments of shadowstitch and on /wait 1.5, oh well I guess I can only learn from my mistakes.

yeah i was gunna say from lvl 29-35 me and some ls mates have found eastern altepa desert to be freakin god...2 days got 6 lvls there...beetles are so freakin easy i found myself easily doing SATA fast blade for 300+ damage with a 150+ distortion SC would totally rape beetles and now that i got viper bite its doing just as good so fun <^.^> but yeah all i got is my nin sub up >< needa lvl mnk and war then x_x;; but meh once im at high lvls ill just probably party in sky for the most part XD

yeah i need my sky pass. i just recently joined another hnm ls after my old one's leader quit the game...sucks cause i was only there for 3 days before it broke up.

anyway, i'm home now. 56k connection is crazy slow ; ; but i'll try to add when i can. i do plan to keep this up though.

sorry haven't updated in a while...long while. turns out 56k was way too slow so i decided to wait till i get broadband hooked up. that's coming this friday, so updates and such should start flowing again.

hey for lvl 15-20 (higher if you solo in korrora tunnel) you could play with MM's soloing in maze of shicromi (i know i cant spell) and then going to play with worms in korrkora tunnel with 1 or 2 other people as long as you have rng subed I did that for war, thf, rng (or course) DUNES SUCK

i'm not a huge soloing fan, nor do i have much experience lvling in that manner. i'm not gonna say ppl should try to solo more, i'm all for new ways to exp; i just find it more fun to learn about new ppl.

and yes the dunes most definitely suck donkey dick. refer to my alt exp area for that lvl range. it's basically the same exp from basically the same mobs, but with WAY less ppl around.

but this guide is nice b/c i am trying to lvl up my thf as a main job now so this will help me out alot with equipment. hope you add more to it soon. i have gotten thf from 15-27 in 3 days.

^^; I read about 75% of it, since im at work i'll come back on break and finish it up. Its very good from what I read /clap.

I did notice though that it seems to be geared more towards someone who has a Job already in the 60's+ and wanted to start something diff and can afford to buy Items and has experience with the game.

I started as THF and I could not imagine gettin VE's Pin or LB's that early in the game. [Cuz ussually people that start have no idea what NMs are or Crafts etc]
