I recently hit level 45...but it's taken me a LONG time to get there. I would always be crafting to pass the time and hope I get into a party. I've not crafted so much that i'm possibly the highest leveled North American Leathercrafter in the whole game. I'm beginning to wonder if i'm the only NA player with Leathercrafting at above skill level 45 (right now it's 3 levels higher then my character level but i'm going to be crafting a bit to try and make myself a Brigandine Armor ^^). I've also gotten at least recruit to most of the other crafting guilds too. Except Alchemy and Bonecrafting...haven't spent too much time on those yet.

Beo, your profile doesn't state that you're on the midgardsormr server:p And if I manage to catch up to you in level, i'll be glad to help you get your AF and genkai stuff ^^

I'm from Cerberus, and I have to agree... People need to learn to Tank, and learn to Heal properly.. I play as a WAR most the time, and the PAL all say "I'll Tank" then who ends up doing the tanking? ME ugh.... I hate people...

And just to say... I'm American and I'm not a greedy bastard.. I help everyone I can, but I hate all those pan handling idiots on the server... Someone actually asked for 1200 gil last night... GEEZ... Go kill shit and earn the money, it aint that hard!

Rayin, reason i dont help people, is because i never asked for help from anyone until i had to do the 50 cap quest. I usually don't ask for help, just ask others around my level when they are going to do a certain mission or quest...

just think about it, i get tells all the time even when im leveling other jobs. ( people i dont even know). If your in my LS or a close friend i MIGHT help but then once i help someone once, everyones going to be asking for help. Ive seen it happen to jpn players. if youve noticed an abundance of English I do not understand's in players comments it is simply because they are sick and tired of people asking them to help(even if they cant speak english the translator, which they used to make the comment, works fine for getting information from people even if its only a little bit.). I hope you see my drift cause i want to play this game to have fun, not to go around helping those that spam jeuno for 3 hours striaght. People dont realize that if you search the web and ask a few questions about the mission it is usually soloable.

but instead of listening to what people have to say, they would rather flame you then expect you to help them at a later date, which is even more annoying.

i totally disagree Swindler.. unless you do your quests when your 10-15 lev higher then the req (or some special ones like af1 thf .. but most need PT), you need help with everything. am not talking about high level help either.

sub-job req a PT , so does most AF , limit breaks and missions so yes ppl stayed for me when they already had there drops or they didnt leave when they got theirs ,
thats what we mean by greedy ppl that don't help. (or get there drop and suddenly have to leave. ) i personnaly stayed for 3 days after i got Genkai 1 done , so that all 6 of the PT get all. ( even if we didnt know each other previously).if all would do that. you would see a lot less spam for high level help.

so yes , you will need other ppl to help you , I think its only fair to do the same.

Dont get me started on NA players on Cerberus ><. I mean, every server has this, but it seems as soon as the erson levels they're all of a sudden, "I need to go now!" And just logout, gee thanks. Or even better, during genkai 1, they get their item and they're all, "I need to go eat dinner, when will I be back? Uhm maybe a couple of hours." JP honestly aren't too much better, but its not really they're fault, they're just a really busy culture.

has anyone thought about the fact that JP players have a hada yr to play the game and probably are a lot more bored and have a lot more time then the NA high lvls the NA high lvls just got 70 while the JP have had it for some time so dont start just because ur NA ur greedy crap i help people when i can some lvl 30 rdm was "trying" to kill a dancing weapon on qufim i told her to disengage killed it for her it didnt drop the sword so i gave her the money for the sword and told her to buy it so she wouldnt have to worry about dying

Well, guess this proves being nice isnt mandatory. Fortunately, there are some decent people out there who are willing to put aside their own selfish goals for an hour or two to help someone else progress in their chosen path. A good deed today could come back to you ten fold later on.

You're right in that there are decent people out there. But there's a lot more selfish people then non-selfish (JP and NA players alike). Just today, I spent over 6 hours (just today), trying to get Papyrus for Genkai 1 (Level cap breaker quest). 6 dropped in that 6 hour time period...other people in the PT would always lot higher then me. I was frustrated so when another PT showed up, I shouted, "Argh! Another PT! I'm Cursed I tell you! Cursed!". The person, named Alysrian, responded with, "We're not here for genkai 1" (something a bit ruder but it didn't stick out as much as what they said to my next comment).
So I just said, "I've been here for over 5 hours and still no drop" in an attempt to get some frustration out. Their reply was, "I don't care" since they were already finished with it. What i'm trying to say is...most people only think about themselves first and others later. Instead of showing some sympathy for people that are struggling with something, they tell you to shut up or make some rude comment. I understand if a person is spamming for help, it gets annoying and you want them to stop. But they wouldn't have to spam if you know the answer and were able to help them out before they started spamming either.

People just need to be at least a little more considerate of the troubles others are going through.

Dragon is right about that. When i was getting genkai1 done 1/2 the time as soon as someone would get a piece they would leave. I have been lv53 for over 2 weeks becuase I have been helping my friends get caught up and get quests done.

BTW dragon, thanks for showing us where to get the Grotto key last night for drakeblade. That was really cool of you. ^.~
