first off, it's VERY important to note that NM spawns(or at least, most of

them...including Spipi) were somewhat randomized in one of the more recent patches, so

don't get discouraged if there are other people here, or if someone killed it half an hour

ago...now, the first step is to rent a chocobo(or hike) up to this area in west saruta...

walk along the area outlined in black, killing every crawler you see(nothing else for the

first 2 rounds)...if there are very few crawlers(2 or less), then chances are someone has

swept them already, or someone is here levelling. Don't leave, just make rounds until you

nab a few. Now, start making these rounds while killing gobs as well as crawlers(for money,

and gob armor, etc.). Essentially, just keep at it, and he'll eventually appear. The ones

marked on the map are where I've faught and killed him(multiple times on some of them...9

times in total), And I've nabbed 3 capes...once you get one, warp back to town, and sell

it/equip it...but never fight him with one in your inventory...it's rare, you'll screw

yourself over...If you have 2 people, have one person stay down the mouth of the river(where

there are 2 on my map), and have the other grab a train of gobs while killing crawlers, then

nail them with an -aga spell. Those are my tips, which I now share to dispell some of the

"greediness" that people seem to associate with NM hunting. I welcome the competition(

although, I won't be hunting him again for quite awhile)...now, my map...

Angry

lvl 9-11 crawler NM in Saruta... etc. etc. (however it's spelled). Drop a fairly decent low

level cloak... and typical crawler drops. That's about all really. *shrug* But I like

nabbing as much gil as possible.

Always saving up for my next Katana. Argh...

Well, it really is the best cape for white/black mages up to 30 or so...sells

for 20-25k at windurst AH on my server, and has dropped 1/3 or so of the times I've killed

him...plus always get around 2 stacks of silk for every cape I snag...lots of profit, but

you got to put time into it.
