Dark Knight with Samurai Sub

#1

I am

thinking about creating a new character and I have come up with a dark knight Samurai combo

to me this seems like the ultimate damage dealing pair. Because the dark knights are hard

hitters anyway esspecially when you're an elvaan and then the samurai sub adds the TP and

attack combos but I want to know if there is any huge flaws or cons I should know about

before I put all the time into this character.

DRK/SAM

is a total suicide combination at LV60+.. it is fun and good if you use it on Easy Pray or

Too Weak mob, but dont even think about it for use on Very Tough or Incredibly Tough...

well, unless you are not going to use Guillotine, but then again, why do you play DRK if you

dont use Guillotine ^^

I tried both WAR and THF sub, and i find that i like WAR sub

more.. with Berserk i can out damage any melee in per-hit and the double-attack trait is

just an icing ^^ plus while berserk'ed, guillotine does 500-700 on IT monsters! .. it's

fun to watch other class do 50dmg to 200dmg with their penta thrust, rampage.. heh.. but

here is where the problem comes in.. i immediately gets the worm welcome soon after i use

Guillotine. There was this one incident happened today, i guillotine'ed for 1025 damage and

then i was left with 200hp because of the mega-hate i got plus my paper thin armor.. >.<

So subbing SAM for the TP is really pointless unless you really want to kill

yourself ^^ but if you just want to do it for the fun while farming or killing easy prays,

then it's the perfect sub!

*pardon my grammer.. it's late at night, and i am going

to bed..

once my

dark learns Guillotine i plan on subbing Sam just to try it once although i may not now

since i also just remembered that with my War sub i get a nother atk bonus from the warrior

trait witch should add to my atk by abour 20-30 which will be very nice.

BTW Neko,

how do you use Guillotine when your only 55 tongue.gif just thought id ask ya. Guillotine is a lcl

200 weapon skill i heard from everyone else at 55 it caps at 175.

Hm, don't you think Guillotine is a bit overrated? It's nice if you have hell of a good acc-EQ... but unless you get that, chances that you will do a full 4-hit-Guillo is pretty rare.

And yeah, Guillotine is a WS level 200 skill and is achieved at level 60.

I have to agree with nekochen on the suicide part. Meditate and WS all the time = mucho hate. Besides, you probably want to do other stuff than just WS all the time. Double-Attack and Berserk are two nice things that you get from subbing WAR.

Sure

you get much hate but thats why you should only sub SAM if you have a good PLD and, what is

the best, a THF in your PT. The PLD should control the hate at this lvl and the THF should

throw the hate on the PLD everytime so i think it is possible. The only thing i would miss

is Berserk. I'm only 49 now so i don't know how Double Attack will work.

hi long

time no post for me on the drk/sam issue

its good for 60-65 behond that u have to go

thf or war.

plus u have to lvl Great Sword, why? cuz u can only do good skillchain

with Rng or Mnk with Scythe

Guillotine does not working with THF > Dancing Edge >

Viper Bite > Shark BIte.

none make a WS and THF's force DRK to go with Vorpal

Scythe which as Drks know Vorpal Sucks A$$

even with Cross Reaper at 65 no WS of

Scythe go with Thf. hence a comflict of PT.

I've been picking about PT's and only

lvl with RNG who get way more hate than me, Gotta Love Rng's and Mnks Dragon Kick WS is

awsome ^^

I'm still subbing SAM but lvling up THF and will have it for 70-75.

BTW anyone have a strategy for Fighting Maat. i tried and had him 1/3 down. but i

used a stupid X potion and couldn't use regular potions after so i died. oh well i got to

keep my testimony so i'm happy. no exp loss so was worth a try ^^

That

testimony is useless... you need a new one. If you didn't notice, when you used the

testimony on the BC, it became ripped. Same thing with the orbs for any BC fight. You keep

it afterwards... but its no longer usable.
