I got a couple of question. I hope you guys who know how to mess with Photoshop will answer me. I'm in the planet tutorial and I'm having a problem with the Planet's Texture. When I try to do Edit>Define Pattern it doesn't do anything to the brush. I change it to Texture in the brush window but I still don't get any result. I have done this once and I had to get the planet's texture and make it as a brush after that it was a square instead of a circle. It kinda did the job but you can see the difference between the tutorial and my planet. So if anyone can help me with that I will <3 you for ever. lol

I also have a different question. I've seen some signature that are extremly sharpen, the characters and everything around them look really 3-D. I was wondering if someone had a tutorial that thought how to sharpen the image and make it seem real. Thank you.

Loved the guide, I have done everything you have told me to do, and gonna start on signatures.

To Tomei: I would start with abstract drawings and backrounds... deviantart.com has alot of photoshop and GIMP guides...
I used those and i can add thunderstorms for backrounds now =) check it out: and some of the preset brushes are good too.

Love this sticky keep up the good work everyone! I sadly cannot play this game anymore but I still love the art it can inspire still working on something that I can be satisfied enough with to attach to my name. This could take eternity though... /sigh

Hmm Forum seems kinda old atm but hey never hurts to try so here's my question.

I use The GIMP and i think I'm getting pretty good with just making stuff with brushes and stuff but i cant do the fist step to sig making. >< I try to cut out my character but i can never do it right i know in the origonal tut up there it says to use the magic wand but either GIMP dosent have that tool or they switched the name but I'm still confused if any1 could help me out that would be sweet. I really hope to make this into more of a hobby since i allready intrested in art now just would like to make it on the comp, plz help:D

You say you use fraps. Im curious to know how you edit it in PS.
I know fraps is made up of PNG files but how do you get it too work in PS?

anyone got advice for me? i have my sig a friend made for me. and now im trying to get it on the LS website. how do i go about doing this? all i see is a box to type stuff in.
