making the render smaller is better than any algorithm a program will have for resizing

Im havcing a problem with it... whenever I pick a colour for my brush it keeps on making it grey... wat do I do?

It's probably on greyscale. Image >> Mode >> RGB Color. That should do it.

ok thx Janeba but theres another problem when I paste the pic from the model viewer its bigger than the 400x100 background... wat do I do?

Well it would be smarter to reduce the image by Image>>Image size and make the size of the height be 200. Then make a new canvas of 400x200 and drag your image into that.

Thats wierd. Are you sure his height is the same height as the canvas?

I use Free Transform and scale the Height/Width accordingly.
Load the image from model viewer (or wherever), cut it out, then dump it into what will be your siggy. Then hit CTRL+T to bring up the Free Transform tool. Hold shift while dragging one of the corners to scale it, or enter numbers in the boxes.
