Anyone

drk's around 50+ want to form a group to do af's? Kinda bored and hardly get picked in

lvling groups so just donating my time to help those in need.

To tell

you the truth, DRK AF isn't that great... in fact, most of the Royal Knight's pieces are

even better. Gloves, pants, heck even the body piece is better. Only piece I think is "

good" would be AF3 (enhances souleater effect)... rest is only for looking pimp. I only

have the DRK AF Chest Piece so I can look like a DRK ;b

I'm some thousand gil from

Valkyrie's Mask so I'm gonna go for that one instead of AF3 for the time being.

You

don't get picked in leveling groups because you're a DRK. All melee damage dealers (most

of em) got a hard time getting PT. Do as almost all other DRK:s do:
Create your own PT,

because you can be in Jeuno for hours without invite.

its been

almost 2 weeks since i got a party invite but i have alot os succes by forming my own party.

i just want ful AF mostly because it looks "pimp" and its good armor thats cheep, i dont

have 300k to spend on royal knights. kaido, maybe you can help me, currently im using a bone

scythe, should i go farm, mine ect. for a demon slicer, or just wait for the vesagos scythe?

Well, the

gloves and the boots are actually the worse pieces. Useless you might even say.



Demonslicer is a nice Scythe, but I didn't go for it. It didn't feel like it was

worth it just for 3 more levels till 58.

elvaans/male and females and tarus but never hume so i want to see if i look pimp in it !!

to disagree with Kaido here ^^ i love the DRK AF stats -- all of them. Gloves gives +3 DEX,

which is equivalent of +1.5 accuracy and a higher chance of dealing critical damage.. well,

i know you said Ryl. Kgt gloves have +2 accuracy, but sniper rings that adds +5 each ^^...

even if you cant afford sniper rings, get stats ring with life belt and ryl.grd collar +

vassago scythe, you would still have a great accuracy. The helmet is my favorite piece of

all, because of i am a mithra and +3 STR is just so charming to see ^^. The rest of the

pieces, +INT (um.. if you play blk magic), +mnd (always good to have for magic resistance),

+vit (uguu.. well, not too useful for a DRK since we do not want to get hit.. but it's on

the body piece which gives +attack too).. and besides, all AF pieces adds HP, which is a

great thing because of the Vassago's -5% HP ^^

not really a helm, and thats whats wrong with it

I see your

point, but even though it gives you +3 dex, Royal Knight's Mufflers is still better with

acc+3. You're thinking about Royal SQUIRE'S mufflers. The more ACC the better, and

especially for DRK. Yeah, you still have good accuracy, but I hope there's no one saying

that less accuracy is good. At higher-levels you don't even want to have dex-items, you

want acc-items.

I seriously don't care about HP that much. Prehaps for souleater,

but I don't see any other point getting more hp. I would rather hit with the swings I do

than having more hp.

Having said this, ACC > most of the stats when you are a damage

dealer. STR is prolly something you want to... but I'd rather choose accuracy over it.



Anyway, DRK AF stats aren't BAD, but they aren't great either. If SquareEnix was

smart enough, they would boost more dex or acc on DRK AF since we really need it.

Well

pretty soom im finally gonna be going for my Davoi coffer key for the 3rd time im tired of

waisting time there i hate it. i had a funny event when i tried to make a party for my

Eldieme key, the rdm didnt feel like waiting for an alliance to form so he left hence

another drk and another blm left so i was left with me, a lvl 55 whm, and a lvl 60 PLD from

my linkshell,

Well our whm had a crzy idea, he told me to change jobs into a theif

to attempt to use Skeleton Keys to pick the coffer, mind you my thf is only lvl 1. so i

spent 30k on 12 keys, we get down there, and he casts sneak on me which we found out doesnt

even last for a second on lvl 1. so i died quit easly.

I ended up being Tracored

half way through the map to the coffer chest, i got raised and attempted to pick the lock, i

failed 4 times, then on the 5th time the chest turned into a Mimic.

it was a very

close fight but the whm and pld ended up beating the Mimic, which dropped the key. our plan

couldent have worked out better.

ive seen a lot of humes with drk af armor..some in windy and jeuno..were on the same server too ^ ^
