Hey, i use my nin for a sub, but i have a question about debuffing elmental defense.



so when i cast spells that debuffs, how long are the mobs weakened for? so say if i

had a blm in the pt, can i cast a bunch of spells in the beginning or am i supposed to

coordinate w/ the blm?

my nin is lv 24 right now and when i cast the spells they only

do like 0-6 dmg on IT's... is that normal? was hoping that it would get stronger as i

level, but oh well =/

The Ichi level of the elementals are only good for practicing your ninjutsu skill, Ni do

respectable damage tho

The

reason for using elemental ninjutsu aren't for doing damage, it's to help others do

damage. Lowering elemental resistance is great. That being said, I'm also interested in

the duration of elemental debuffs.

Of course

that is at that level a decent pay off. Truth is, your spells should at least do 10-15 pts

of damage at that level and that is withought hitting the cap on your ninjutsu. Right now i

am dealing about 23-25pts of damage if i manage to get the Magic Burst in at the right time,

simply weaken it to say >Fire, then when your SC goes off (Liquifaction/Fusion) you blast it

away with Katon : Ichi....you will notice that even withought a BLM your elemental DeBuff

still rips into the mobs when used properly.

I got

the Elemental Ni series last night, and it does decent reliable damage (80 damage). But with

my ninjutsu skill maxed, I didn't really see any difference in the elemental damage of

Magic, WSes or Renkeis. Anyone else have experience with it?

Doing

detonation renkeis with my THF (lv 40), my max detonation damage went up by about 50hp when

using the Ninjutsu. Highest I saw was about 295hp on a crawler. This is by no means

concrete evidence that it helps much, but it seems to make a difference.
