I'm in the process of saving gil. I am somewhat torn though as I approach the ammount needed to purchase the Haubergeon for my 60 SAM. Should I just save up and spring for the Scorpion Harness instead? At least then I could use it for my THF and Monk or something. It's a hard choice because I know Samurai love having attack bonuses... but its nice to have High evasion as well. Let me know what you guys think. I would be using Haub only for my sam as far as I can tell.

The Haubergeon is definately the better option as a samurai, you get attack, accuracy and strength bonus from it, as opposed to only an accuracy bonus from the scorpion harness for your samurai and monk ( Monk AF body has +5 acc on it anyway ) and an acc+eva bonus for your thief. By the time you want to solo tougher monsters on your thief ( 74 most likely ) you should have a much more informed opinion, and you can also resell either pieces of armour if needed ( you do of course lose money from AH tax ).

Go for the haubergeon and snipers instead, much cheaper and should suit all of your jobs.

The other solution is buy a haubergeon, scorpion harness and brynie! /grin
