Ok guys.

Looks like alot of the newer Rangers are confused. Let me ask you this question and then I

will give you the answer.

What is more important? Ranged Accuracy or AGI?
What is

more important? Ranged Attack or STR?

It is all important in it's own way but

Ranged acc and attack is more important then STR and AGI stats. Get your hands on as much

of this as you can. Kabobs take care of the lacking STR so dont worry about that. Your

purpose of being a Ranger is not to do super uber DMG each and every hit. (which you will

do) You job is to hit. EVERY time. You do so with RACC. Yes you will hit hard no matter

what but Ranged Attack helps a crap load. I know we are not all rich to be able to afford

some of the stuff. I see level 20's wearing rings for +AGI and not the + Ranged Acc stuff.



I personaly have +14 AGI but +43 Ranged acc. I am missing a Carapace ring

because I would rather have the -2 Enmity on the Tracker Ring as a latant effect. Plus each

time I get the hairpin i sell it because as a RNG/NIN this crap is getting expensive to

level (25k per level on arrows+food+ninjitsu) SO!
AGI also does help on evasion.

acc = 1 agi, but as you said, agi also helps to evade attacks.
2 ranged atk = 1 str

1 AGI= 1/2 Ranged Accuracy, it take 2 AGI to equal what u

get from 1 Ranged acc bonus. Thats why I said u must look to get Ranged Acc instead of AGI

all the time. I believe it works out like this

1 AGI= 1/2 Ranged Accuracy and 1/2

I'm of a slightly different opinion regarding the relative value of ranged acc and agi. I think there is a softcap on accuracy ++, meaning you enter an area of diminishing returns as rng acc+ increases past a certain point. AGI does not have such a softcap, thus agi will do more for you above a certain amount of rng acc. Since its so easy to get large amounts of rng acc, gear with agi on it should be given more and more weight, rather like the way VIT works for tanks.

I dont have any data to back this up, sadly, but I think it is true based on my own experience. Of course, if anyone has any means of parsing data to help get a clearer picture, do please share.

err, it should be worth noting that RATK != Damage. Strength adds one to damage and point five to attack. attack is compared to defense and out comes a fraction that is applied to damage, with some random integers involved. so in certain situations, strength will boost damage more than attack.

Interesting about the Rng. Acc softcap though. Izzat true?
