I was

just wondering what Ninjitsu skills would be useful to a Thief. I am not really sure about

Ninja as I have never partied with one or met one

It

doesnt absorb only 3 attacks... It depends on the casters skill level in Ninjutsu mine

absorbs 5-7 atacks at level 32nin.

Ninjutsu is really not great to a thf, it might

come in handy in a pt, or when u use Utsusemi to be a great puller, but all in all I find

that the ninjutsu wont get u far with THF, but Nin is great sub for thf....lvl 30 2x parry

knives.....drool....

I think the two most

useful Ninjitsu skills for a THF are Utsusemi and Tonko (Blink and Invisibility). Utsusemi:

Ichi will absorb 3 attacks, whether it's a simple melee attack or Ancient Magic spells like

Flood. The Ni version will absorb 4 attacks and will cast in 1.5 seconds vice 4 seconds

like the Ichi version. Utsusemi is very powerful, I'm addicted to it now.

The

status debuffs I rarely use while in an XP party due to the fact that anything I'm fighting

for XP would probably resist Ninjitsu at level 32 skill levels. I do however use them when

hunting NM's or fighting an enemy that is slightly harder than something I'm supposed to

be able to solo. Blindness, Paralyze, Slowness, and Poison will help quite a bit if you

don't have a mage with you to stack them on for you. I think NIN allows me to solo at

higher levels than a WAR sub would.

The level 1 elemental Ninjitsu skills aren't

that great, to be honest I've only ever really used them to practice magic bursting and

raising ninjitsu skill to the cap for a slightly smaller investment in powders. I think the

good versions of these come to the NIN at 40.

I took NIN as a sub to THF for Tonko,

Utsusemi, Dual Wield (Lust Dagger + Greed Scimitar), and the Stealth trait. If I ever make

it as high as 74 on my main job (37 NIN) I think NIN will be a permanent sub for my THF.

I see you have 24 listed as your THF job level. If at all possible give a 12+ NIN

with Utsusemi a shot as your sub later on, you'll see a difference in your soloing ability

.
