Hi all.....I am very close to lvl 16 for my ranger. I already bought Lizard armor for when I hit lvl 17 (much cheaper than fine armor). I have my power bow +1 and 2 bone rings (waiting for bone rings +1) to hit AH.

My question is....how often should i upgrade my armor?

I will upgrade to beetle rings at lvl 21 and keep my bow till lvl 30. Should I use my lizard armor till lvl 30 and concentrate on buying quality arrows? Or should I continue to update my armor since we rangers do cause ourselves quite a bit of hate?

Cool, another ranger on Bismarck.

I'd equip the best equipment you can, as soon as you can. I know martial pants (lvl 24, I believe) are a good choice (+2AGI, +3EVASION), along with a royal footman's bandana (lvl 10, +1AGI - I still wear it at lvl 40). Wear the hume RSE gloves/boots as soon as possible, because they add a good amount of STR/AGI.

From what I've heard from other rangers is that armor is there for the agility bonus and thats about it. The real spender is arrows. Always spend money on the best arrows you can and the best bow you can.

even tho ull be getting hit some due to ur high dmg, defense isnt really an issue so if u see armor that gives good stat boost go for it

i follow the same philosophy with my thief. stats over defense, let the plds get defense armor, im not getting hit anyway

Yeah, get upgrades when you can. The 20s for a ranger suck, because there's no real armor upgrade until 27. At 30, though, you get new armor, weapon, and major skills, so the class really opens up then.

you hit lvl 35 go and buy two Horn Rings+1, 2 Drone Earrings, and camp the Valkrum Emperor.



Right now, i am a RNG/NIN at lvl 35/10, i plan on farming for quite some time to

stack up on good arrows, and i plan on lvling NIN to 20 or 30. I am also gonna camp the VE

get silver arrows at all. to over priced. get bettle arrows til lv 29 then get horn. at 40
