Just wondering what all u Ninja Tanks are gonna do now personaly i hate ninjas tanking and now that subtle blow has come out i think its safe to say your all doomed............so was wondering what ninjas are gonna do??

That is merely conjecture. Nobody really knows what Subtle Blow is going to do.

WOW... "A new job trait called 'Subtle Blow' will be allowed for ninja and monks". that' all it saids in the PO viewer.

I love the way that all the people talking about how Ninjas can't tank are always Paladins who are either level 35 or below, or high level paladins that grouped with a ninja once in Valkrum/Qufim/Kazham and loved watching them get hit while blink was down... That really makes my day.
When people have to start their anti-ninja posts with "Guys, don't skim by my post just because I'm a Paladin, but I once grouped..." thats just the best ever.
So far the only Adv. job I havent unlocked is Paladin, I'm affraid that their brain disease might be contageous simply by having the job listed as selectable in your mog house. Don't want to end up sounding like an unwanted retarded stepchild every time I try to express my oppinion about anything.

eeer 1 i aint a pally 2 never played pally and 3 wouldnt want to im the Monk that has to deal with Ninjas tanking and me taking hate off em when not even using abilities......im scared to eat food when a Ninja Tanks

I personally would look for a pld to tank. I don't mean any rudeness by that. Ninja should only tank on emergency situations like those DAMN scorpions (death scissor = dead pld). Ninja should use their ninjutsu to debuff and set the mob up so the mages MB would deal more dmg.

I really love the NIN job, but im afraid to try it at lvl. 30 mainly because i dont want to be a blink tank At ALL. And im afraid that each pT will ask me too tank and ill say no, because i dont have Utsemi or i just dont have enough tools and they'll through me out.
Arent Ninjas damage dealers , or support? Not tanks, well maybe in in emergencies..........

I agree, the whole NIN vs. PLD thread issue is getting old.
Stick with facts, people.
The evidence is simple observation...
Firstly neither NIN or PLD has a hard time getting into PTs at higher lvls.
JPs in my other LSs state that NIN are better in a lot of situations, simply because there can be literally zero downtime between fights PLUS many mob special attacks (the infamous Death Scissors, etc) are effectively nulled by Utsusemi. Also in very VERY long fights, like against HNM, NINs won't run out of mana. PLD with no mana is basically worthless and will lose hate. This is fact.
PLD is better than NIN in other situations. Cases include situations where a mob has a very high rate of attack (bad for Utsusemi) or where special attacks are used that circumvent Utsusemi (Crawler's Poison attack, etc). PLD has better VIT and will take less damage than a NIN.. much less damage actually.
Personally i don't have a preference of NIN/PLD/WAR being the tank. Just remember, it's the PT's A(*# that's on the line.. the tank falls, the PT is pretty much going to be slaughtered mercilessly within seconds anyways. There are situations where I won't want to be in a group with a NIN tanking (and hell, i PLAY nin)... there are also situations where i sure as hell don't want a PLD.
I guess it's simply Different strokes for different folks. All three tanking jobs are sufficient and have their place. I've seen RDM who tank better than NIN or PLD in certain situations... they make excellent Sneak+Trick attack partners in skillchains... People just need to learn to be resourceful...
Stuck with a Tank class you don't like, ask them what they prefer to tank.. you might be surprised when you fight mobs that are weak against a certain tank class... you might learn respect for a new job. Who knows.

okay people if subtle blow does decrease the hate, AND I AM IN NO WAY SAYING IT IS!, but if it does you gotta remember that ninjas can get hate in more way then one. What if they sub drk for the attack bonus so that they can hit for more with duel weild? Besides what if subtle blow just sneakily randomly puts in more damage or something. It wouldn't reduce hate, just put an attack in with out getting hate. Anyone think of that!?
