Key Item: Lumberjack basically just allows you take 3 logs and synth all thre at once with a bundling twine including in the recipe. example: Ash Lumberx3 using lumberjack would be
1xBundling Twine
3xAsh Log
1xWind Crystal

Far as the 49-100 guide. My suggestion is not to follow guides. If you do find one, dont use it as a concrete blueprint. The reason I say this is because most of the guides in almost any craft you will see. Where orinigally meant to be the cheapest way to xx level by the author from there point of view and experience. Chances are the person who wrote xx guide would have been on a different server than you are and as such the market economy may be different han your current server.
Secondly, once these "guides" come out, you get this flock of people who automatically take those guides to be fact and absolutely the best way to go about things in xx craft. Well then you begin to run into the problem that as people begin to buy the ingredients used for xx synthesis the people providing these materials notice the increase in sales and subsequently raise the price.
This effectively nullifies the validity of the "guide" from my viewpoint since the market has changed not because of, but in part of the guide.
In short, read the recipe list, check the AH and then plot out your own course. You can take the safe route and never go 3-5 levels above yoru current skill. Or you can take the risky route and routinely stay 5-10 levels above yoru current skill. In the long run you will appreciate the efforts you put into your craft more.

True, but with woodworking, the stuff that's in the guides is usually the stuff that's going to be used the most, arrows and the like. Where it gets tricky is when you start working with non-consumables, like those found in smithing or leathercrafting.

Hmm... a Key Item? where do you get this Key item from? lol
!
and how do you plot basically or so, like if you look at the recipe list. i mean you dont know when the item caps your skill

There will be a level on each recipe when your looking at the recipe list. That's the actual cap on it. Doesn't mean you will be successful 100% of the time. Just means you wont gain anymore skill gain on it at that point.
Basically once you hit 48 woodworking and get the next rank, forgot what it is >.> there is an NPC in the woodworking guild that will sign you up for a contract. Every 24 hours an item will eb requested. Each item will be worth a certain number of points and you can accumulate a number of points each day based of each product they request. Once you have 10,000 Guild Points (I believe it is 10,000 anyway) you can trade yoru GP in for the Key Item or anyother item that would be available to you based on your crafting rank.

HQ is just a regular synth that happens to produce more(or better) products. To get HQ you just synth like normal and pray lol. The higher above the cap for the synth(that number next to it in the recipe list) the better your chances are to get HQ. I'm pretty sure that regardless of your lvl, HQ chance caps out at 50%. But I'm not 100% on that, just something I heard from a lvl 93 cook.
To HQ shihei with any regularity, I'd say lvl 60 minimum woodworking is needed. At that lvl you can mass produce those awesome holy/acid bolts though, HQ'ing a ton, and making a nice profit.
