Lots of Dragoons I know swear by Battle Gloves (even until AF). My personal experience as a Monk has been that I hit just as well with my RSE gloves (+2 DEX) as I do with my Battle Gloves, so I would think that the +3 STR is a big perk on top of the DEX boost.

And I think all RSE equipment is expensive, at least on Asura, because it's such a tedious quest to do for armor that (when you can actually do it) is several levels below. Yes, it makes up for the failings of your race, but it seems to be something that most people either buy or use a higher level "natural" job to acquire and then wear for their "unusual" job (Galka Warrior gets his RSE so he can play White Mage, for example).

I would recommend getting the RSE just for the fun of it and then comparing the two (Battle Gloves are cheap) and deciding which seems to work better for your needs.

I am a 55 DRG and I still wear battle gloves. Those things go a long way. I will finally be replacing them at 56 with my Drachen Finger Gauntlets

I carry both Battle Gloves and Hume RSE Gloves around with me. If the mob I'm fighting are hard to hit I switch to the Battle Gloves.

I go with the RSE gloves personnally. Raising main stats always seems to be more effective then raising the secondary stats. You won't get as much accuracy from the RSE gloves, but your critical hit rate goes up and the amount you get critical hit goes down a bit. Evasion isn't an issue with DRG since they are hate shedders, so the +3 STR is nice to have.

Right now I'm still using my Custom M Gloves, the extra HP STR and DEX seem better for me (as well as 2 extra DEF) I've used the Battle Gloves on occaison, but I don't notice THAT much of a difference in my Accuracy, one of the blessing of being a Hume -nice, balanced stats- What I reccomend is, try both, quest for your RSE glvoes, never buy them, and if youc an't get the Battle Gloves from the chest in Ranperre's, then just buy those, they're pretty cheap. And try them in battle against two identical monsters, but keep it controled; what I mean is don;t fight like an IT Fly and then a T Crawler, it's just going to give you uneven results, istead fight two, say IT FLies (High DEF High EVA) and see if you notice any real difference.
Right now I can still get close to, if not at, 100% accuracy every fight.
Besides, DEX adds more than jsut Accuracy, there's other things that I've heard it effects, such as Critical Hit Percentage and such.

as mithra, my rse gloves don´t help me the slightest bit in the aspect of hitting something (+4 vit +2 mnd), so my array of choices is basically centurion gloves (+1 dex) and battle gloves; I use the latter and will probably do so until af.
