I was thinking that the best race is Hume, because of there high charisma, and their ability to sub a lot of stuff. What do you think?

Taru has alot are char, but i dont think there realy is an ideal race for a job, anything can work, but galka mages.

Mith have a really low CHR as it is, but again with a few CHR+ items you can do the job easily :| There's a few Mithraan BST running around on our server.

Why play a MMORPG when you are going to solo? Just a question there. However I find having the BST class very annoying when you are trying to level because a bst will take 3 times the amount of enemies a level party takes. When it comes down to it any race can do this job, the best bst I've seen has been a Galka, good damage great hp while we runs around. Just uses all the chr items he can find. One week I saw him leveling a level 24 bst in mhuara. The next weekend he was upper 40's in Altepa. Don't know how he did it. Just did.

That's just having no friends and spending all your time online. Trust me. My LS leader leveled his war (sub for Pal) from 19-30 in one day. None of us though he would be able to but god damn it he did. I still want to kick him in the teeth for that. I get like 2-3 levels a day. Probably because I get bored of it...

i can understand how one would choose to do beastmaster. i'm at the point where the parties are a lil more few and far inbetween. so i can't get any exp without setting aside some good "waiting" time before the actual, exp gaining time. however, if you were a bst, i could see you just going out and grabbing some good exp in an hour or less of game time if that's all you can muster in a day.

There *is* no best race. While each can bring an edge to a certain stat, you can really use any and still do fine. Any difference in racial benefits can be made up later with items. smile.gif Even then, without items, you're not going to find yourself failing overall as a job all the time. It all comes down to playeraction and equipment.

I've actually seen more Taru and Galka bsts in AF than I have humes. And I've also seen Mithra bsts in AF. Think I've only seen one hume in AF. But that's not really an objective view. wink.gif Could be tons of humes in bst AF, but I've just never seen them, hehe.

surprisingly, Elvaan actually have the highest Charisma rating as a BST. Not to mention their high Mnd also raises the ptoency of whm sub, but unforunately that is weakened by the low mp of the elvaan.

Currently im an 18 BST. I find that i can often Carm Tough monsters that are only a level or 2 above me for a decent amount of time if needed. I only do that to save my life, however. charming a T really cuts down EXP.

Another helpful thing is to have high cooking skill or get a friend with hihg cooking skill and find them ingredients. Delta pet food heals 150 pet HP, and Gamma heals 100. Both of these can be made by a moderately accomplished cook, and can make a difference between you dying or killing a Tough mob with an Even Match pet.

BTW... how does the pet food work...??? You can use it on any pet... Wyvern too? Because I see a lot of low lvl DRG that like... have a Poisoned Wyvern... and can only watch it die... but if they could use the pet food... it saves them from using there 2HR when not needed and the depression of the Death of their beloved Wyvern...

Am I right on this? Wyvern's can also use the food... or am I totally off...? :crazy

You're totally off. wink.gif

Pet food can only be used by bsts that are lvl 12 or higher, because it uses the Reward skill. It's also on a timer so the bst can't heal their pet over and over really quickly like with cure. It's like a 5 or 10 mins re-use, can't remember exactly. Also, the bst can only use it on their own charmed pets or summons, not someone elses, which includes drg Wyvern and smn avatars. smile.gif

well BST is a lot of fun tongue.gif so pls dont u go bashing it without trying it... if u know how to play you wont really loose any exp while u r lvling up to lvl 35.... (just send s DC to EM or EM to T then after ur pet get killed just finish off the mob and u wont loose any exp) after lvl 35 u will get an ability to send ur pet away so u can finish the job and get full exp... BST can solo for 150-200 exp with no down time biggrin.gif so if u know what u r doing u can lvl pretty fast... oh and one more thing, only BST have exp penalty not other PT members so u can find a PT easy if u want to smile.gif also its a good way to farm or explore smile.gif i know many very rich BST smile.gif
I play WAR/THF RNG/SAM and BRD/ RDM and when i feel like playing solo i just use my BST and fool around and have fun... trust me it is really fun tongue.gif

all u need is luck tongue.gif if u have a good PT its piece of cake, i got lvl 15-20 in 3 hours at korro. tunnel ( chaining worms for 250-280 exp) but u need a 2-3 blm rdm rdm and whm to do it that fast... i was in a full taru JP party lol i was the tank so i just voke and they crushed them... if nobody vokes worms use stone 2 for range atks... nasty ...

then it comes the qufim, i got 5 lvl in one nite but then again i was with a perfect PT, everybody was doing their ADV job,

at lvl 26 i got my kazham key with my SAM friend and hit the kazham, got lvl 26-31 in one looooooooong nite again rest of the PT was JP biggrin.gif 2 blm, and 2 whm, we kicked butt.... even JP players were like this is the best exp so we wont leave until we cant lvl lol... oh but the thing was kazham wasnt this popular then, we were the only PT there for good looong hours then when JP prime time hit, many other PT came but we were done then...

after that i went to altepa... got another good PT and get my war to lvl 35 in one nite again...

after that i met with great bunch of ppl so we have a static now and they wont let me go and lvl like crazy hahaha

well u may think how the heck u didnt get burned out lvling like that... it was easy every time i lvl like that i took a week for myself do quests, go gil farm, help friends, do missions, lvl my crafting, get almost every adv job quest done and lvl my noob jobs a little for fun....
so yeah if u can handle the pressure and if u are EXTREAMLY lucky u may get lvl high lvl 30s in 6 day i am not sure about 40s tho.. since its kinda hard to lvl like that after lvl 40 tongue.gif

oh if u think why the heck my war is only lvl 48 atm, i start playing waay too late, and i wont lvl like crazy i took time to do a lot of stuff, i remember spending 5 hrs in gusgen to get bunch of ppl their skull. just b/c they asked me if i could help while i was farming bone chips for my alchemy tongue.gif and i have a STP now weeee they r really cool ppl.

mmm....okay I can do that. I'm gonna probably play for 12-14 hour chunks when I get back. It'll feel as good as a bath of cure II's after a hard IT fight.

technically hume, taru and elven have equal chrisma so taru could be a good one with WHM sub

Bst is really fun! That's how I met Debbie, he was my first charm. We had so much fun together, that summer... Best time of my life. We trained real hard and were going to start farming; but then one day while we were resting, Debbies gets this crazy look in his eye and starts attacking me. That little Mandragora pack'd a punch! Sadly I had to 'take care' of Debbie's illness...
I went out that next day and got a new pet that I named Debbie 1.2. She was a crab and we had a pic-nic. She died shortly after 'cause of poison... Debbie XJL 5000 was different than the rest, she was special. Something told me that she would help me alot. The fact that she was five times my size and a Scorpion didn't seem to bother me, but my firends still mock'd our love... I ended up divorcing Debbie after she killed me though. Kill me once shame one you, kill me twice shame on me as they say....
