Well, readign a few posts ago, seems like from 30 up, monks don't get to many parties. I was plannign on mnk/war and have my mnk at 18. Leveling my war rite now, hes level 6. So my question: mnk/war or war/mnk. I will not tolerate waiting for 1000000000000000000 hours for a pt after level 30. Which one will have more pts?

Depends on what direction you want to go in. Either choice should let
you get into a party without much hassle. The only way you will find
yourself without party invites is doing something craptastic like being a
war/smn or mnk/blm. A mnk/war leans to be more or a damage
dealer (2-3) per party. A war/mnk leans you more towards a tank
(1-2) per party. But the bottom line is
PLAY WHATEVER IS FUN FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only places I've ever had to really wait for parties were Qufim and Kazham. I suspect that the reason for this is that too many NA players can't be convinced that Monk is a powerful class (though I'll admit that we're horrible when it comes to fighting crabs).
By contrast, I spent the better part of yesterday doing the quest for the Crawler's Nest Map and was invited into parties several times (one was notably a blind invite from Sauromogue while I was in Castle Oztroja, another from a Japanese party). Your best bet is to play what you prefer. Monks don't always get invited as often, but if you shine, you'll build a reputation. Warriors, on the other hand, are a dime a dozen and you will have a lot of competition to get into a party but will also have a slightly improved chance of being invited.
Play what you like, not what will get you into parties. This mentality of "I must get into a party within 5 minutes of activating my tag" is causing a lot of problems because newbies choose White Mage and proceed to be terrible at it or they run as fast as possible to get Paladin and are equally horrible. Patience is the name of the game. After all, even if you get invited immediately, no one said it would be to a good party, regardless of your job.

the only reason mnk may not get many invites is because you are a melee and they are prettymuch interchangable good monks are a godsend! i say stick with what your first choice was as its what you wanted and everyone has a hard time finding parties at some point or another

Another possibility is to try to play when the Japanese players are online. I've been getting a lot of tells from them lately. Japanese players love Monks, it seems, and I'm not complaining. Last night, I got a tell (and since I was too tired, failed to register it as being "Konnichi wa") just before I was heading to bed. I did a quick search and saw that there was a grand total of 3 Monks from level 34 - 36 online, one of which was in a party. I am starting to love (even more) being such an uncommon class.

If you want invites available while only having to wait a short time go WAR/MNK You can be tank and do good dmg. After 30 people begin to look for PLD as they get more DEF then WAR does at this point, so they way people will look is PLD->NIN->WAR for tanking.
If you want to do good damage and tear monsters to pieces go MNK/WAR as you still get Double Attack from subbing WAR along with Beserk.
Just choose what you want, but realize with every job comes PROs and CONS.
