I think he's talking about the Tonberry ability, Everyone's Grudge. If it works here like it does everywhere else, it's damage is based on the amount of Tonberrys you have killed. As for a reset on that... Not Bloody Likely, so just carry a lot of Hi-Reraisers, or make friends with several lvl 75 whm so they can come rez3 you when you get whacked.

Oh, and stay off the pipe man. You might make more sense.

everyone's grudge is a Tonberry special ability, its damage is based on how much Rancor or hate tonberries have for you. This is built up by killing tonberries of course. There is a tonberry NPC in the Temple that will erase all your built up rancor for a fee, thats all i know on his location unfortunately.

And i'll finish this post off with some nice game info

Tonberry society is litterally based around thier hate for all the human races, they blame Altana for disfiguring thier goddess out of jealousy and have vowed revenge. which they take out in every human race they see.

unless u are there for coffer or Zilart Missions, you dont really need to do this quest.

Basically what it is, is that every Tonlenberry u kill. They add +2 dmg to their hate towards u. The more you kill, the more they hate you. My friend did the Zilart M5 forgettin to reset hate, and the astral flow hit him for +4,500.

But the quest is in norg, given by the NPC next to the stairs (left of it)

You have to give em 3 Gold beastmen coins.. (Odin AH its like 4000x3 orz)and the NPC will give u a key to go Temple of Uggelepta to reset hate.

Depends how many tonlenberries u killed, the price of hate reset varies.

[Quest: Everyone's Grudge
Giver: Magephaud (next to the central staircase, Norg)
Bring back three gold beastcoins if you want to learn how to rid yourself of the Tonberries' rancor.]

To activate this quest you must have minimal Norg fame, and to have killed a Tonberry prior. Basically you trade 3 coins (8-10k on Midgard) to this NPC, and he'll give you a key item Tonberry Key. Once you have obtained that key item, you have to head to (F-11) on the first map (near the DRG AF3 room) and click the " . " on the north wall. Tonberry Priest NPC will appear, and tell you how much you have to pay to cleanse your hate.

First time for me was around 6500gil (I had killed a LOT of tonberry prior). Amount varies with your level of hate. I got grudged for around 1300dmg (one shotted~) so me cleansing hate was vital to completing Jiraat M4. Ironically, our PLD still got grudged for 5k dmg from the THF Tonberry in the BC battle, but that's another story~

Tonberry Rancor/Grudge goes up everytime you kill a Tonbery. So resetting your hate before any large mission there whether Jiraat, quests, AF coffers/NMs, etc is a good idea. Letting it build up will result in that picture above... I laughed when I saw the dmg on that ;3

Edit: I've heard from a few people (Whren, people on other forums) that calling help on the Tonberry doesn't factor into your Grudge level... but I'm not certain.
