i wanna use that belt, but even without it, i barely hold onto my six-hit currently at times even with sune-ate +1 on y/g/k, due to physical reduction being full-turtle to me, aka only one point of store tp (brutal)

My thoughts: If you are in need of being that turtle'd, don't worry about 6 or 7 hit build until hate is off you again..

If you are main tanking and turtle, but need to WS often.. dropping a few points of dmg% probably won't amount to more than 50 dmg on a bad WS.. which shouldn't kill you since your shell is good enough to use SAM as a main tank anyways. Basically, turtle a bit less.. DD more, use good mages.

i understand that bit, but there's times when reducing damage to the fullest is key, but then also dealing as much damage as possible is another thing i prefer to provide

i'm pretty much the main tank at ixion and tiamat, as well as in sea (bar for fortitude/prudence/love), amongst other things, but perhaps i should look into hachiman kote +1 i guess, since this SOON-TO-BE MYSTERIOUS AUGMENT I GOT ON MY HAGUN THAT GIVES ME 91 MORE HP AND 6 STR could kinda save me from those "OH GOD" moments, where i would need darksteel mittens +1 WITHOUT THE AUGMENTS INCLUDED.

OR, next update, they could be cool and release a -phys% belt with store tp on it 0:

That would be one of the swaps i was referring to. Or you could be superman and gearswap into your tp set only when you swing and back to pdif whenever the mob swings. mix if they are exactly at the same time.

i'd do that more often, honestly, but whenever i attempt to do such, my gear half-swaps, and leaves some pieces in while the others are still from the other script; if there was a way to avoid that, by all means i'd abuse it like a motherfucker, but the jamming is atrocious :\

I never ran xml's, i just wrote windower macros for everything. I don't think anyone has a lag-less enough connection to do that though xD

You should fill your entire equip screen in every macro helps make sure your in the right shit.

Aren't you getting TP from being hit? I mean, if you're blink-tanking, you're stupid to sit around in Physical Damage Reduction gear, so I'm going to assume you're blood-tanking. I wouldn't really stress myself out about having an X-hit build in that situation, especially if Double Attack is likely to be coming my way, as TP overflow is going to be an inevitability rather than merely very likely.

I always thought that getting hit would add enough TP to make up for the lack there of in my build as well, but apparently in his situation it is not the case.

I'd do the hachi hands > dst mtn+1, since they are once of the least substantial upgrades you can get, and hachi hands are packed with STP.
