OA2 with high base damage or OA4 should be better, depending on the situation. But in reality, Empyrean sword rapes every other option pretty heavily.

I have noticed for awhile my PDT Shamshir has been better for TP/Vorpal than Joytoy. Maybe it will change after Abyssea, but by that point I should have a Almace.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised at this, base damage on Joyeuse is abysmally low compared to other weapons now. It would be hard for the increased TP gain to out do such a large jump in damage.

Well it wouldn't probably be so bad if SE didn't just completely dick over Attonement. Most NMs in Abyssea seem to resist it, and the 750 "cap" can easily be outdone with Vorpal and RR along with better DOT all to help hold hate. Then once we move out of Abyssea attonement will still suck comparably due to most people having Zorro.

Zorro won't be nearly as powerful without Atmas behind it because crits, where Atonement is pretty static.
