Not impossible, but Aris is hardly...courteous to people who camp against him.

He might log in Barikan or Hampty and just keep sleeping the PH for hours. Many people have seen him do this. If he doesn't, he will just spam you with checks. When I was there, he examined me once every 15-20 seconds. He will also be more alert with chi to claim instead of just letting the mob pop like he did when you were there.

He can claim it and hold it with Volfeed long enough for Aris family to arrive. He subs NIN and usually has Volfeed carry around meds. I've seen Volfeed be saved by a Vile Elixer before. As far as I know, he won't MPK you or kill steal, so at least he's fair in that sense.
