Yes it's true I'm lazy lazy... actually I had to deal with some rl issues, so I took about a 6 month break... I'm back in the game now and 30k tnl 74 lol. I'll get 75 eventually ; ; I have been meaning to update this, and I will get to it very soon... The real issue with sweet spot info is that there is no real universal unit of measurment for distance. I can post the order of weapons as far as distance, but I can' t give you exact distance, it's one of those things you have to mess around with a little bit until you figure out your best dmg/acc ratio... I could also post the Windower Distances if you'd like but that leaves out the PS2 peeps, and those without windower.
Also If anyone could give me some info on Post-Patch Maat so that I could add to this it would be great.

I realize you talked about it already, and I know it sounds whiny and lazy... But the whole RNG/WAR dealy. I was thinking of going rng/war, but it seems the world is against it. If I use war I'm not a gimp, am I? Tonko, DW, and utsusemi are good I guess but I just wanna know if there are any rng/war's out there that have anything to say.

Ive heard this a long time ago, and it seemed to be confirmed...
Do bows use 50%STR/50%AGI to do damage?
And xbow/guns go 100%AGI? Id like to know if it's just garbage, or that it holds some weight

I've heard from a lot of people that post-patch, rng/war is the way to go... that nin doesn't really benefit you in any way aside from utsusemi. ... It was mostly in an angry COR sub thread... -_o;

Kikku - If you want to lvl RNG the most common subs are going to be /war and /nin. Unfourtunately things like SE(/drk) and SATA(/thf) dont stack with ranged attack thus making it them unsuitable for RNG sub though other DD can use them. However I use /sam a lot during HNM fights, not for damage but for numerouse skillchains + bursts. If you plan on taking RNG to 75 I recomend having nin, war, and sam leveled for subs.

Excellent guide, nice to see it is still useful to many.
On the /NIN and /WAR debate this is what I have found.
/WAR is beneficial but you lose the dual wield effect and the great stats from the daggers mentioned.
/NIN has two great benefits. One, you get the dual wield which can really boost your stats. and Two, the one I feel is most important. When you are pulling, you can safely come back to camp with a mob, I have died countless times pulling with /WAR sub because the mob will hit me for so much damage on the way back.
Just wanted to add my thoughts
p.s. Merits are by categories and jobs, so if you are in the same category, i.e. boosting a STR stat, it will be across the board and can only be merited to it's max (6pts for example) no matter what job you are meriting. If you are in a Job specific category however, you can only merit when on that job and to the max available, but the stats stay active on all jobs. (example: I merited MP 2 times on my WHM, now on my RNG I have 20 MP with no MP gear)

/nin is for pulling and shitty tanks, though I've pulled both off /war.
Mainly I PT with brds and make them pull because of how much faster exp it is. I also notice and have no clue why Berserk and Atk food have a HUGE boost on Rng as opposed to mellees and thats why I think alot of mellees prefer /nin over /war.

I think the inherent acc bonus traits you get more than makes up for the lack of 1 weapon 's stat boosts in terms of accuracy.
