I was looking to do Fenrir fight sometime soon, please let me know if anyone else is interested or willing to help me out^^; I just got my bauble the other day so I'm pretty anxious.

I only have Shiva and Leviathan avatars XD I kept all the whispers and traded it for the bauble. After you recieve the bauble, you can re-get all the forks immediately and re-do any avatar and still keep the Bauble. I'm not really interested at all in the avatars, but I really want Fenrir's stone. I'd be glad to help anyone through any of the avatars (Although I'm not much help against them lol) if it means fighting Fenrir immediately afterwards^^

yes, you can fight the other six avatars even if you already have a moon bauble. You trade in your 6 whispers to attain the Key Item: Moon Bauble. Therefore, you have no whispers, which means you can do all of them again as you see fit.

Chinq, Drange (RDM72+), Derufin (BLM74), and Minime (WHM71) have had a bauble for awhile and haven't got Fenrir yet. May want to drop one of them a line... you'd have mages and tank knocked out and just need to throw some DD in.

I would be happy to help with Fenrir, if you don't mind me being 66 (RDM though so not that big of deal). I just got my Bauble last night:D. If you need me look me up in game or PM me for a specific date you want to go after him.

I've yet to contact the mages, but if things go right..seems like I'll have to setup a basic exp PT kinda thing lol...I'm not sure what strategies work best, but from what I'm told PLD/NIN is the one of the better ways to tank it. So PLD/NIN, RDM, BLM, WHM, DRK...and just 1 more melee DD I suppose will work. Thanks for all the replies, I'll see if I can get something together.

Chinqlinq, I have a Bauble and would give my left tarutesticle to have Fenrir. Say the word and I'm there, I'm sure that goes for both Drange and Derufin as well.

Altho I have no idea what I'm going to use whisper for... I mean... Fenrir's Torque and the earring looks nice... weither its for PT (torque) or solo (earring), but having Fenrir as a lv17SMN is pretty cool too and I need to lvl it anyway...

That was never the case, you have to beat all the prime Avatars to get a whisper for each then trade the 6 whispers to get a moon bauble to fight Fenrir.

So it is possible to have Fenrir with no other Avatars except Carbuncle.

I beat Fenrir and i still needed Ramuh and Garuda avatars at the time (although I have obtained them since).

Well you guys cant just waltz in thier with 6 people and be like Hmm we are going to kick his assaru to the moon. Its one helluva tough fight and one that you will want as many HL smn as u can get for the highest chance of success. It can be done otherwise but its alot more difficult. My suggestion is take the 5 HL smn set up, since that is so hard to come by my other suggestion is to take a couple blm and Blink tanks and wear as much +dark def gear as you can. Difference between fenrir and other avatar fights is that the others can only realy kick your ass with thier 2hr (helped fowler get leviathen and she got one shotted o.O ) with fenrir pretty much expect to be totaly owned with any of his attack moves if they connect. his dispelga move prettymuch covers the whole room and gets rid of 100% of buffs. If and when u go i would suggest having a HL whm friend waiting outside for you as Reraise is mostly useless cause he will dispel you. if the tanks can keep hate of the blm then you have a good shot with a non smn pt, however it wont take long to have fenrir maul the crap out of the blm if tanks cant keep hate, when i tried my first 6 times i had jeuth with me and he got taken out in 2 hits a few of the time so a taru blm will get royaly owned. its one fight that if not set up right will make u so frustrated. at anyrate those of you who are friends of mine If i am not busy i can be the person outside to raise your defeated assaru when u lose lol. well thats my info, if u can go with 5smn you wont lose.
