just thought i'd share that with all of you, even though i know lvl 54 and 2 mil isn't a lot to most of you...i really regret this decision. FFXI is a lot more fun than WoW, and I think i have found out why. WoW is really user friendly but...it's not a life. FFXI becomes your life after a while, and it's a really fun and interesting one. Your character in game really represents your real life, and i think its actually for the reasons people complain about. People say that FFXI is bad because its just the same shit over and over again, and while it is, you climb the totem pole as you do it, and your always vieing for a better place. It's like a really entertaining job i guess...only problem is it doesnt really reward me real-life wise, which was the main reason i stopped. I dunno, i might not be making too much sense here...i guess my main point is, if i had 2 years to waste smoking pot and playing an MMORPG all day, the MMORPG i would play is FFXI...

Hope i didn't offend anyone here, it's just the way i feel.

Whey not just restart? Plus if you still have the CD key maybe you can restore your character with that "return to FFXI" thing.

i dont know...i really want to restart...but i know it would cut into some of the stuff i have going for me right now...ill try that CD key thing...i doubt it'll work though...i wonder how long it would take for me to get thief to 60 if i grinded the crap outta it.

So many people are regretting leaving ffxi for wow. Wow really is too easy. For FFXI you have to know your job too well as well as others' jobs in able to get far in the game/story/exp. If you don't know these things then you're not a good player. In wow, you don't even have to play all the time to get great exp. There's some stupid buffer thing that multiplies your exp if you don't play a lot to keep up with those who play 24/7. That's lame as hell.

Zero, how do you do that whole char recovery thing? I uninstalled all my disks and PO, do i only have to reinstall PO to be able to recover my char or what?

Check the info on www.playonline.com/ff11us/ the Return Home to Vanadiel program thing they are doing.

I haven't really looked into it much, but supposedly you can get your character back along with your cdkey being valid again and so on.

Friend got his character back this way, it took {long time} but when he poked them hard enough he got back into the game.

And if your friends are still there they can prolly hook you up with some cash to start over

(to bad pin and boots are so expensive now though >.>)
