Get the 70k item first for two reasons:

1. You'll feel happy when you equip them.
2. Having that extra skill level crafting the next 100k is a lot better than having to save another 30k without that skill, and then 70k with. If you catch my drift.

mhmm, guess it would help lessen the breaks i get when im making goblin drinks (for skilling and profit)

on the note of goblin drinks...it's fun that i can break 2 and a half of the 5 stacks of materials i bring with me to go fishing, and yet still make a profit ^^

I think I am about to have a heart attack. It's been quite a while since I've posted in here. Yesterday I used the last of the persikos my friend gardened for me and only got .3 skill ups leaving me at 99.9 cooking. I couldn't find any kitrons on the AH but luckily found a lone piece of dragon meat so I went around and got the rest of the ingredients from their respective NPCs (gogo thrifty transit.) I only had one shot and wanted to make it count so I used the crafting timer... I had to wait til 5:12am the next morning. This is the result:




Finally after so long.

Now to finish up Fishing(48.8)~

idk if this is an accomplishment or not but...ive broken 3 cursed haidates and 1 cursed togi in the last 4 days lol...grand total of 5 D lumbers down the drain >.>. And congrats Syco, i was smiling for days after i ding'ed 100 with woodworking

yah so i've gone for major bust the last month except this one like eternity ago time i sat down and made 2/6 kaiser legs which i still have for sale -.- why do i always try the random things that never sell then i get crazy good luck instead of the things i know will sell fast actually turning HQ for me... ah well it's not like i'm even online enough to care for the past 2 years lol

Hi yall I have been following this thread since before Stubbie was 100 gold, and finally decided to post. Im Clothcraft 94.1+2, so today I decide to try some tier 1 synths. I grab 7 black beetle blood, 5 zealot's mitts and 3 shinning cloths. I end up going 2/7 on Blue Capes 0/5 on Devotees Mitts and 0/3 on Nobles. Not only that I failed Nobles synth twice only lost shining cloth once tho (thank god). All in all I still lost $$$. loseing that shinning cloth killed me.

U think ur up one min then bam SE decideds to screw u into next week. But then they'll feel bad and give u a nice HQ or 2...then take it back.

Well synthing nobles is a big loss on my server, at the time shining cloths were 390k and I bought em for 300k from my LS. Even then it was still a 150k loss or so, loseing that shinning cloth just made it worse.

Just a bit of advice, if the loss on tier 1 "killed you" then you shouldn't have been shooting for tier 1 due to the random nature of the thing...

I typically follow this routine:

If i have plenty money and nothing else to do i'll shoot some tier 1's since they are always losses then i'll spam tier 3 and 2 to compensate that loss if applicable, if i hit hq on T1 all the better..

If i run myself broke (which i do alot of, i tend to blow gil like its going out of style) it's all tier 3 till i get back on my feet then i'll move back up to 2's and eventually 1's...

Occasionally profit can be pulled out of tier 0's too though so if i see an opportunity i.e. no other crafters spamming a certain tier 0 i'll make a couple and inflate price and back off when others catch on... Don't be afraid to do this, people are so terrified to actually raise prices and NOT lose money on 1-2% hq rate items its disgusting...

There's no reason high end crap like cursed items should be pure losses when the hq rates are so abysmal.

Hell, people are just in general afraid to inflate prices on any synth, it's stupid, i've seen people undercut when there's 0 of a certain item on AH >.> ? why thats when i inflate, people will pay whatever for an item if they want it, S&D and if you can manage to find a synth with decent D that you're the only S thats when you capitalize.

Or you can do what alot of people do, beat others off by undercutting, swallow up losses till they back off then re-inflate.

All in all i find myself doing every level of synths on an often basis, even a 10-20k profit that sells in a few hours will still add up.


Anyway i'm done rambling here, GL and i hope u bounce back from the loss

It didnt kill me in the sence that ohh no now im broke, it killed me because the $$$ from the blue capes +1 pretty much made up for the loss on nobles. On ifrit the economy is shit, their are very few synths that make you $$$ that sell often. The few that their are get spammed to hell by idiots. The other day 3 stack of sneak tools are up, so I decide to make a few stacks. I list them for 7990 the going rate is 7900-8100, I get on about 16hours later and none of mine have sold and people dropped prices to 5k.
