So I have been stuck @ 72.8 for a couple months now. So i decide to buy 3 stacks of gold ingots. I have the worst luck when it comes to crafting. Only got .3 skill ups. Gold stage is gonna be hell and i am prepared for that. How many stacks does it usually take on average per level?

After reading through the nice 10 pages, was wondering about the key items you can get and what they are good for, could someone post a link or tell me where i can find more information about them?
Thanks

The Key items are the very last thing you should get, if you ever get them at all as they are mostly worthless for Gold Smithing.

The only real ones that are worth getting if you care about the key items is Gold Purification, Stoneskin torque and reraise earring and Gold Ensorcellment, Mighty Ring and Vision rings for the low level ring synths, They will eventually pay themselves off if you care to actually sell the items.

Clock making is almost worthless since Pup isn't so popular of a job and they can get their items other ways then having them crafted.

Chainworking and sheeting are absolutely worthless.

Well it's been 2 years since I have played and I think this thing probably is outdated now. Trying to come back to the game but PS2 broke and I need a code to download it on PC :-(. Anyways I am going to try and update this guide just post after this post and i'll look at it and add it into the guide. Although as my memory serves me right SE makes expansion items ridiculously crappy and expensive their might be something out there so post up and i'll try and fix this guide.

Tsewong :

The 90's were actually in my opinion much much easier(although i am glad i'm not one of the people on my server skilling on lv74 rings atm, 150k loss to make), once i got out of the 70's it was game on!

There is not much for killer profits 70-80 but after skill is capped for beads a whole world of oppourtunity opens up.

Tried to do a skill-up by synthing an Electrum Ingot on Darksday. Didn't happen, but I safely made one with Adv. Synthesis Support at least.

My GS is 41, and the Electrum Ingot caps somewhere in the Apprentice level, it caps around the 40's. There's an off-chance that I might've reached the skill cap already, but I've yet to synth another one to see if I get a skill-up or not.

If it's hopefully near 47, it could become a worthwhile skill-up item as well as a profit item. (It could also solve my GS Hiatus too, to be honest.)

EDIT: I ended up synthing another one today after mining again...no skill-up on the recipe again.

My best guess now is that the skill cap is below 41, unless it's just going to take a few tries to get a skill-up, which seems unlikely at this point.

Gold Dust 42-47. Extremely cheap for me. Spent about 33k total and made almost 20k back by selling to NPC. Not bad for 5 lvls. Good alternative if you don't have too much gil to blow.

Wind + copper ingot + brass ingot.

Majority of these guides are outdated. If I had my way I'd have them removed and a fresh up-to-date batch put in their places.

This, hell I say erase everything in the crafting forum and start anew. Only topic I don't see needing an erase is the accomplishments one.
