I bet you people expected me to be the last person to do something like this, and I know this is pretty abrupt.

I think it's time. You know, you get that weird, instinctive feeling that you just can't explain well--but you just know it's there, and that it's right.

I have lost interest in the game, for the past few weeks I've only logged in to XP with my static. I can't even remember the last time I did a mission, farmed for gil, or leveled a job other than BLM. It's just... not fun for me, anymore. The only fun I have in this game anymore is being with my closest friends.

Also, from what I've seen and heard, the HNM life on Titan does not seem to be pleasant. At leat for me, anyways, who likes to take things slow and at a steady pace and doesn't really like to bicker with other people. I don't want to have to fight and argue with friends in AoV or RC or CrM or whateverthehell--that, to me, would be the worst thing to ever happen to me in-game.

Lastly, there are IRL things I need to attend to. I just got a reality check a few days ago--in a year, I will be in art school (hopefully). I need to work on my portfolio and improve my skills before I can even begin to contend to get into those schools. I still get music lessons for flute and saxophone as well, and I have been neglecting that ever since I purchased FFXI. I think it's time I started to get back into it, because after my senior year (next year), I will probably never pick up my flute or sax again.

However, it's not like I just got finished with cancelling my content IDs and selling all my junk and uninstalling the game. I plan on continuing to play for another week or two to obtain Sky access with my friends, and I also want to do Dynamis with EndlessHorizons, if only to just see what the two areas are like. Once I have experienced both of those, I can safely quit knowing I have done them.

For my close friends, on-and-off conversation sharers, or just random acquaintances, you can talk to me in-game (I will probably get in touch with you before you get in touch with me) within the next week or so. P.S.: I say the "perhaps" in the topic title because, well, nothing is really for 'certain'. Perhaps something will happen in these next handfuls of days that will convince me to stay. Not even I can predict the future, as hard as that is to comprehend. :B

I understand where you are coming from, I too, have been thinking of quitting. The only thing I have fun doing anymore, is hanging out with the few good friends I have, killing gods/kirin with my linkshell, and doing Dynamis.

Dynamis is a lot of fun, its the main reason I'm still playing. I have a lot of fun running EHorizons Dynamis on fridays, and SBDynastys on Tuesday.

Good luck on whatever you do next, and I hope you stick around to kill Kirin/gods with the linkshell at least once!

I was the same way, I wanted to quit until my closest rl friends kept me in the game, but eventually, the game just stopped being fun one day. I guess all good things must come to an end huh? Btw, don't let anyone else wear my subligar, only certain people are allowed to wear my undergarments >_>
