Here's a good one: How the heck does a DRG/BLU beat a PLD/NIN at 40 cap? >.< He always attacks Rygor first and all I can do is try to Head Butt him as much as I can. When Rygor gets low I'll Spirit Link, but that doesn't stop him for long because he'll usually Flash me then continue to pound away on Rygor. Once my wyvern's dead he comes straight for me. He admits I'm running his MP low though.

I don't think drg is worth taking to 40 cap and below. Pld is one of the hardest jobs to beat in ballista if you can't stop there magic you can't beat them. Im sorry but I don't think drg has a way to beat a pld/nin in 40 cap. 50 cap I would recommend going /dnc with aspir samba.

Most of BU is from fenrir. 60 Cap is the largest, next being uncap. Fenrir has 30-50 caps but most other servers don't. Your best bet is going to 60 cap and level sam to 30 for drg/sam and try some matches. Experience is the most powerful tool in ballista.

Merits will give a slight advantage in a 40 cap (even more so for MNK), but will not make them gods. Hell they probably don't even have access to 1/2 their merited stuff @ 40, assuming they're fully merited at all.

Get the experience by going to matches. It will be worthwhile, and pretty soon you'll be destroying even merited opponents.

Moral of story:
In capped ballista, Merits are overrated.

I already know what a DRG can do. Somehow my BLU got owned by a DRG using back to back Spirit Surges and on another occasion, missed Penta, 2hred me and I still died. He got lucky but D:

Anywho ye I think it's pretty impossible too to beat the PLD I fought, he's got experience on his side too.
