Ok basically what I mean by this Is, do you need The monster Singa or is that just a privlage and Also If i decide to Lv BRD as HUME what would be the weapon for it staff or knife.


P.S. The only reason why I only asked BRD's Weapon is because I know BST's best weapon is 1-handed Axe and shield.

bst= staff+chr gear/axe+shield+melee gear(dual axes if you go /nin)
brd= staff+chr gear/knife or sword+melee gear

basicly what this means is when you go to charm/sing use chr gear and when you go to fight use melee gear so you'll need 2 macros for gear changing (but I don't have one for brd since I really don't melee that often...).

Bard is basically a dagger, that being because our AF weapon is a dagger. But after you get mage's ballad, you dont melee that much anymore...

if u can afford it go ahead and use monster signa till lvl 51, then light and earth staffs for lullaby, requiem and elegy.

u want to lvl SWORD for maat fight, dagger takes forever

lvling dagger is optional, its your highest grade weapon and one out of the 2 weapons u can get the final WS for. but there isnt a use for a dagger wielding brd in pts. unless its a kard, but staffs would be more usefull than +5 chr

You do not require a Monster signa. Period. For either job.

When you get to 51, as BST you will enjoy the benefits of a Light / Apollo's staff. It should be swapped in with your CHR gear for charming. Then back to 1 handed Axe

As BRD, I would recommend at least a Light Staff (Lullaby / Requiem), Earth Staff (Elegy) . If you have a spare 20k, pick up an Ice staff as the Lemmings like Distortion, and it will help stick your Therondy a "tad" bit better.

I never used a monster signa and never had any problems.

And you don't need a sword for the maat fight, many bards have done it with daggers.
