I have a ps2 and an xbox... I find the xbox to be infantly more useful. I can't wait for the Xbox 360.. the wireless controllers are going to be great, and I might even get ffxi for it. it'd be great to have another way to play. My butt hurts too much in my chair sometimes...

I certainly wouldn't buy a next-gen console for FFXI (I play on PC, so duh ). But, most people didn't buy the PS2 just for FFXI either. I think its encouraging that SE seems committed to the game through the duration of the next hardware cycle though.

As for me; i'm Nintendo Onry when it comes to consoles.
