Just because this seems like it should be a place to ask noob type questions, I'm gonna go for it.

I'm looking to PL my RDM to 37 for subjob purposes. I have another 75 RDM to PL myself with. I play on my own time and generally don't have the time to get into a pt, get to a camp, and start to xp, and have it be profitable.

So what I'd like to know, is what subjob would be best for doing this. Keep in mind I am going to try not to rest too often, most of my damage will probably come from melee hits, and taking damage is not a problem, because of the PL.

Also, if anyone can give me a rough idea of good mobs to pick on (Say, 1-10 sarutabaruta, 10-15 tahrongi, 15-20 Korroloka, etc) I would appreciate it.

If you're getting powerleveled to 37(not that I condone it), then I'd venture to say /WAR might be most useful, though /PLD might not be bad, either. I suppose /NIN might work after level 24, too.

Weird... with other melee jobs I've always heard that /mnk, /rng, and even /thf were good, at least in situations where you're going to PL yourself (2boxing).

Any clue as to a path to take as far as lvling? I don't think RDM has access to too many really hard hitting weapons, so if anyone knows anything weak to slashing I could pick on, or maybe piercing, let me know x.x

Gengu,

RDM pwn worms. After Silence at level 18, worms can do nothing to retaliate the arrows, DOTs, and nukes of a RDM.

At level 19ish BST pets like the leeches and bats in Quifim and Dekfault's become an option as well. They're low hp mobs. /BLU is pretty good for RDM melee soloing in low levels. Head Butt and Bludgeon are excellent damage for very low mp cost. Cocoon is awesome, though with PL'd healing, not needed. By 32ish RDM can set autoregen, again not needed with PL healing. You probably don't have /BLU though. RNG and DRG are probably the best melee subs until 30 in that case. Sleep + SA Fast Blade might be ok once you can SA at 30 with /THF. /MNK doesn't give RDM what it needs for melee soloing.

13-15 Maze of Shakrami worms
15-19 Korroloka Tunnel worms
19-22 Quifm Island/Dekfault's on worms or Leech/Bat pets
22-26 Raugemont Pass Bat pets
26-29 Yhotoar Jungle Bee pets
29-31 Bibiki Bay Rabbit pets
30-33 Ahttowa Chasm Fly pets (there are worms here too, but they have stoneskin and are near hectaeyes and elemental spawns)
31-34 Beuacedine Glacier Tiger pets
34-37 Sanctuary of Zi'tah Leech pets right at outpost

This seems dated. Update prz.
