I did 2 KS30 runs last night. used 60 seals and got no claw I got about 250k worth of drops from both runs >_<; I also got rare/ex heartsnatcher. I just wanted to know if anyone knows how to get the latent effect and if anyone considers it usefull.

This is just like the dagger of trials, but with this one you have to get 500 Weaponskill Points. Same thing as before lvl 3 skillchains = 5pts. lvl 2=3pts and solo weaponskills = 1 pts. But be sure you do these on mobs easy prey and tougher than that or the points will not count. Be sure to write down how many times you are doing the weaponskill or you will lose track and wont know how far you have to go.

Claw isn't a easy drop. I've did it around 14 times, give or take and only got it once. First 6 times we did it it was still relatively new and even with no claw got 500k profit per member, but prices on most of the items went down so it's more risky now. Still always a fun time to go kill the scorps.

i think it's designed such that a claw isn't such an easy drop, as i think i get around an average of 1/6 or so.... there are some other nice drops like damascus ingot/ orichalum/ adaman, damascene, marlboro fiber, etc as well, depending on your server.... warwolf/hierach belts are also decent as complementary drop

I got to keep all drops from both of my runs and all I ended up with was 230-250k .. thats not split.. thats total drops >.> I have one more orb.. i think i'm gonna try this agian soon

Is this a hard KS? Just curious so I can kick my own azz for not having my harness like I want. Garuda 6.5mil (harness) 5.9 (claw) and rising last time I checked.

Easiest KS30. Not hard at all if you got the right jobs and plan. I personally hate it cuz I'm 0/18 with claw. SE seems to have nerfed drop rate of claws to a ridiclously low rate now.

As for the Heart Snatcher, great knife after you broke in the Latent Effect. Decent DMG, good delay, and the +6% Critical Hit rate is very noticable, especially if you have merits too. I use it for off-hand in many situations, especially merit/XP PTs.

This BC is easy. From what I hear, you just need 5 BLMs minimum with at least level 73 (For Thundaga III) Basically all you're doing is AOE - ES sleepga - AOE -ES sleepga - repeat over and over. 6th player is usually the orb presenter.

Just get some good solo combos and a sleeper and tank and you're set.

I've beaten this BCNM with the following config:

75 whm
75 whm
75 blm

Yeah, that's right, 2 pld's and 2 whm's. We still went 6/6, then switched in a blm for a whm and went 6/6 again. Was fun and still fairly easy.

THis BCNM is a total luck when it comes to the Claw dropping. I've done 8 straight KS30 and only gotten 1 claw. I also know friends who got 5 claws in 9 battles. They later turned 2 claws into +1 Scorpion Harnesses. Ha Ha Ha.


But ya, its total luck. If you expecting to get rich of this KS30, you on the wrong path. 30 KS isnt hard to get and this bcnm is a great way to hang with Ls members. Grab a few Ls members and hit it up for some fun. you never know. ^^b

You might want to try CopyCat instead. It net my group 700kish per person for a 5/6 record and 3 Coffinmakers. It's not based on one big drop, but consistency: a total of 800k-1million drop per fight. The fuma boots drop here, and they drop quite often. Check ur server prices to see how well this KS will serve you. This KS is harder than the scorpion one though.

Copycat isnt harder...its just a lot more annoying and random.

Charm is hate reset, which is good for mages, bad for tanks.
it'll also randomly 2h based on whoevers charmed. Once again, good / bad. MNK charmed...hundred fists. WHM charmed...Benediction. Luck factor....

My Linkshell and I did about 13 KS30 runs today and we obtained 3 Venemous Claws (in a row) and then crap for the rest of the runs suffice for a D. Ingot.

Ive done this 4 times I think....the first time i did it 2x one day...out of 4 runs I got one claw, the rest of the time I barely made 100k...you cant win everytime I spose and Its not like I use those seals for anything else lol
