To add on to this subject. This was taken from ffvault.com's ranger section. If u read the whole post there, it will iron out all the deviations.

Note: The first 21 levels of woodworking are going to be your investment stage. U will make some of your money back but not alot. I HIGHLY suggest you save ALL your lumber you make because u will need it when you get in the 20's and start with your Arrowmakeing. Also it would be a good idea to do Gobbiebag 1 and 2.

scorps on my server are 1k -1.2k a stack..not worth the synth if you ask me id rather get a tele altep and buy all my arrows in rabao(linked to sandoria)

although i do woodworking for a profit.. silver arrows are pretty cheap to make i can make about 2-3k a stack on my server i just have tyo be careful not to flood out jeuno or the prices will drop

can't understand this...anyway here is my dilema ...I started woodworking making arrowood

lumber..went from 0-2...then I started making bone arrows that got me from 2-8 ... then did

some willow fishing rods to get to 10......now at ten I just cant level up I invested over

30k at this level and can make up to holly staves(lvl19) flawlessly but I just wont level

up....Any ideas what I could do ?

really wonder is, how much did getting to 60 woodworking cost you?
I currently have about

330k, taking out the 70k i need for my next bow, that leaves me with 260k. How much of that

will I need to spend to get my woodworking to a lvl where i can make my arrows and save

money?

Did you try getting a new rank.? You may not be able to level up because of the skill cap.

I am

also a Woodworker, i have dumped anout 170,000 gil into it and i am only lvl 30. Though i

could easily get most of this back, i must use the silver arrows made and the beetle arrows

made until i can get around to buying new ones. I have probably turned a slight profit on

arrows but the maple sugars arent worth anything IMO. I decided not to cook yet because i am

already a woodworker and a goldsmither.. another would be way to much drain on income seeing

that i am a RNG/NIN. I enjoy crafting and have made 8 stacks of silver quivers already on my

venture to hit lvl 30.

On another note, is the saying about the 5% chance HQ per

rank above the item true? I was told that if you were rank 4 trying to make arrowwood lumber

then you have 5% for the lvls 1-10 +5% per every 10 levels above the range. Just curious,

being lvl 30 isnt going to make the difference in HQ items yet , but for future knowledge

this could help to know.
