I just read a lot of complaints about gilsellers, but also a lot of bigotry and ignorance. If you complain about people who you think are ruining your game, then fine, but to insult Chinese as whole just makes you a racist. I'm not a gilseller but I do talk to them and I know what their side of the story is. Do you guys know how these people work? They have 6 accounts, organized into a pt, played simultaneously on 6 pcs by 2-3 people. Each person plays 2-3 characters at once, usually dividing up melees and mages. They are mostly college drop outs or high school kids who can't find a good job elsewhere. If you want a scapegoat don't target them, they are meer employees in a highly organized company. Furthermore do not bash China or Chinese just because it's Chinese kids who are employed by these companies. And be a little sympathetic, these are kids that know very little English but have made it this far. Imagine you knowing very little Japanese, like maybe 100 words max, and playing through to 75, rank 6 and sky access, all the while playing 2-3 characters at once using JP POL, it's not easy.

Also while it is easy to blame these kids who work for RMT companies, you should remember there are two sides to this economic equation, supply and demand.

Im rather sympathetic for these people who cant find a job and have to resort to this as a job. For these kids i feel selfish saying they should have to stop as its their sorce of income and maybe is what provides food for them to live off of ...just because i feel it messes up my gameplay atmosphere.
Out of the two sides i beleive there is no lesser evil.

As for the kids that have to use this as a way to provide for themselves... i wish they had it better off and didnt have to play a game to live.

an awsome job. Man i know people who came from third world countries
with no education and now they make over 100G's every year. And they
did not spend 24/7 on a game to make that much but simply they went out
looked for jobs gotr experience and did what they have to do.

Don't stick up for them, taking a -GAME- where people are suppose to have fun, and ruining the economy, cheating to claim NMs and items, monopolizing items/NMs/monsters that are farmable and make money for people who use GAME money on GAME related items, not to feed their faces...

Bassus how do you know they have enough money to move to an area where there is an opertunity to make a good living? I dont think you fully understand how some of third world countries work. Its like telling a bum to get a job... Some people just dont have it as good as we all do.

Well as you can see i am from Iraq i know perfectly well how these things work.
If you can pay this much monthly for a game and a pc you can get a damn job.

China is the world's factory, if you want a lowskill, low pay job then it's very easy to get one here. However the employment outlook for undegrads and high school graduates is very bleak in China, unemployment for this group is above 20% or more, depends on if you believe in the government's official numbers or not. These kids don't pay the monthly fees, their employers do. They are given passwords to log on, and that's it.

If you want to blame anyone, blame SE for fuckups like the millicorn quest in Selbina, padded caps, etc that gave out way too much gil for way too little work. All this inflation, which fuels gil buying which in turn fuels gil selling is due to the unnatural increase in the monetary supply. Only SE can control the new gil that is being produced, and they haven't been controlling the increase until recently when they realized that it was a problem. The rise in AH fees is their attempt to fix the problem but it was too late and too little.

Reason Salmooh/Sarooh/Yazooy are in LS as them buying/selling gil isn't really a concern. Yes some people are against it in LS, and you should see the long ass conversations about it in LS chat. The reason they are in LS is they are very skilled players, and fun to talk with. Yes Yazooy can get on my nerves at times but she is alot better now then she was 6months ago ^^;

As for them stealing your items or whatever happened, i feel sorry for you, but also looks like you did an awesome job at recovery ^^. Just don't give out your pwd/id and all should be well.

I don't give a crap about their real life situation, if they want to make money, they need to find other ways of doing so. Ruining a game shouldn't be an option. It's not so much the fact that they sell gil that's a problem. It's the fact that they use several characters, claim everything they can, steal from legit players, mpk legit players, and do every other thing possible to make the money theirs which they aren't even gonig to use anyway. There were 18 gil sellers at Serket again today. Now if they all used 1 character instead of 3, and didn't MPK or Steal, people would not get pissed off at them. I can handle camping against a normal group of 6 people. In fact, if they did things like this, people wouldn't even know they were gil sellers. They do need to fix their names though...
