Is it possible, to successfully wage long range warfare with pets and an extended wide scan range or do you need to be close to use pets.

I'm invisioning sending critters two to three quadrents away to go hunting for me. smile.gif

Now I'm not worrying about exp, items would be nice for farming purposes but I'm just courious how workable it is.

Kinda like the idea of sending lizards or what not at Stinging Sophie while fighting crabs. smile.gif

you have to be fairly close to give the attack command. I don't know how far away you can get before the pet gets lonely though.

You have to be fairly close to initiate the Attack command, but you can run as far away as you want.

However, you won't gain any xp unless you're nearby. It's still a good tactic to use if you've bitten off more than you can chew and need to zone, though.

that's how bst are able to take on VT's and IT's later on, have a dc pet fight a vt/it when it's about to die make sure you're very far away and near a new pet you can charm, release and charm new pet, and send it to your target. always make sure you keep a couple stacks of pets on you too so u can use a jug just in case no viable pets are around.

i watched a bud of mine a few months ago soloing in garlaige, he was 56 taking on VT / IT magic pots & bombs down there helping me get a key, it was just amazing watching him chain killing vt/it's while solo.. it made me want to lvl bst almost.
