Seing as how Asura is so overpriced on everything I wouldnt be surprised if the 400k was 100k and 3mill was 700K on my server. Either way a new way to make money would be nice so I'm also interested in this method.

I know what you mean, Blarg, but based on what I've read, the numbers should be proportional. Do you pay 9 million+ for a Scorpion Harness on Sylph? 5 million+ for a Haubergeon or nearly 10 million for a Vermillion Cloak?
Funny thing, Asura is no longer the most expensive server for Ochiudo's Kote. For whatever reason, the price has dropped to 1.5 million (that's what it was when I bought them the other day... this is, what, my seventh pair of these things?), whereas other servers are still over 2 million.

A poster posted a great thing about Gardening
it is effortless, and is a moneymaker for anyone at any level. I have been growing platinum nuggets for a long time, even before i start having mules and all. All you need is a little bit of capital to buy flower pots (i use 10 porcelain) and 10 tree cuttings + 20 light crystals and 14 days.
Some may say, "I don't have that kind of gil to buy the pots or the cuttings," and that's when i say "Get off your ass and go mining." Some may say "But it's camped by gilsellers, etc etc." I don't know how the situation is on some other server, but for asura, it seems lke gusgen is the only one that has gilsellers constantly, and yughott had been rather quiet. If you argue about gilsellers camping, then my suggestion changes to "Get off your ass and farm yourself some crystals with lower lvl jobs" because gilsellers can't horde all the mobs. If you argue that you only have higher lvl char, then that is easier to farm stuff as well.
One thing that bug me about people who ask me about gilmaking ability is they think I make millions in an hour or what not. Some people like to camp NM and get millions worth in a drop, but not everyone will be lucky, hence i tried gardening. The set up is plant tree cutting in porcelain pots, feed light crystals when it asks you to, and harvest whenever the option comes up. Moon phases, days you plant, plant checking frequency seem to be non-factor (to me) for the most part, as the result seem to be random for the most part. On average, every 10 pots, i yield around 3-4 stacks of platinum nuggets, 1-2 stacks of dark crystals, and a bit of rock salts.
Go check the price on your server for the price of investment (10 cuttings + 20 light crystals vs 3-4 stacks of nuggets) and you should have no reason why you shoudln't plant it, if you are crying about gils.
My favourite counter to those who whine about it taking 13 days to harvest is "Are you quitting the game in 13 days? If not, why not just plant it?"

YoshiMoro :
Is there a good place to farm for a 41 monk? With decent goodies?
Edit:
I mean, without being in the low level areas..
or.. like something that could own me while /healing
like something decent where it takes time to kill but not something that could do like 20+ a swing

Being a higer lv mnk myself i totaly agree with the who farming thing myself thats all i do to make my money and when you realy look at it from a logical perspective mnk is the ulitmate farming job, espicaly when your some where like zi'tah or carpenters landing where theres alot of compitention, only real other compitention you have are rdm and they kill so slow its not even funny, and as for any other job ...well theres no way for them to prevent having down time, as for the who subing nin thing >.> i dont know about your server but when your spending money to make money espicaly farming useing any ranged aside from returning thrown, or shehei is kinda pointless your spending money to make it, though given crafting is the same way but over time crafting has the potential to pay off majorly

You can delete those extra posts, you know, Misakito?
I used to think using gil to farm gil was a waste, but it's actually not. It reduces downtime a great deal, and we all know time = money. Subbing nin to farm areas below coffer lvl is kinda pointless, we'll evade most attacks or just Chakra and healed, but when you get past that lvl /NIN can be very helpful.

O Kote on Lakshmi is going for 3.5 mill. But then again, I had to buy a freaking stack of Lizard skins for crafting today for 25k, and beehive chips are about 30k a stack, so it really balances out, and it means even low players can get their hands on big bucks. A subless lvl 12 WAR in my LS had already made 60k easily, and it's her first time playing... I remember how hard it was for me to save up those 25k for my Republic knuckles at level 15 >.>
Anyways, reason I'm posting... I'm wondering if anyone knows of any small NMs that are not camped much that drop some decent low cash, nothing too big, maybe something between 200-500k.
I just need to make a little bit of gil on the side, and I hate competing for pops with Gilsellers and linkshells.
Please let me know, and thanks in advance.

jebus and I thought o. kote on my server was horrible at 2.6 mil, but sucks to be you guys! (then again you have bigger and better shyt by now at your levels v.v ) I'm just trying to figure out how it's even possible to get that at lvl 44 which i am now, without either being the lame tard and buy gil, or farming for the entire time it would take me to get lvl 60ish. i did level thf up to 15 just for the TH, but it really hasnt seemed to pay off (except the travellers mantle i nailed over about 4 gilsellers THANK YOU CHI-BLAST) but oh well, if there's anything for a lvl 44mnk/22sam that I could go pwn on for some decent money i'll take it no matter where and how as long as i can kill it and i dont have to wait for my 2hr to come back before the next one XD

I don't want to make an O.Kote bitchfest here, but...
I could justify a 3.5m kote if what is probably the single easiest farmable crafting good ever (beehive chips) goes for that much.
But 3.5-3.7m for kote when beehive chips are barely worth 10k? Lizard skins are like 15, on weekends? No way. Not worth it. Not now, not ever. My accuracy and damage are on par with the RNG in my static with the gear I have, and I don't have (and likely, never will have) kote. You think otherwise? Then you can buy it for me.

Back when I was farming for Ochiudo's Kote, getting 5-10k per stack of Silk Thread was REALLY good money. Now Silk Thread goes for something like 40k.
You guys don't have the perspective. You see a big number and it's daunting. It's not that it's hard to get 3 million gil, it's that it has so many zeroes that no one can believe how easy it is to get that much.
Nonetheless, no one is going to break your thumbs for getting or not getting an item, so cut the whining, ok? If you're not going to buy it, then don't, but don't announce it to the rest of the world. Doing so just announces that you're insecure about the decision and want to justify the fact that you're not getting it. Guess what... for however vehemently I argue, I don't play the game anymore, so I don't honestly care.
I'd like to think I've done more than most players to try to help out my fellow players, both in and out of game, but we all know the saying about leading horses to water.

heh i was just saying for the level that it's at, farming that much money without spending years on farming would actually take quite a while considering my level even. I have said forget it, and just looked forward to my AF gloves, but you all do know the main reason those gloves are so high is just to furnish gilsellers pockets and that's probably about it. when the rare lucky person manages to get claim over them and gets the drop, hurray for the money actually going to someones pocket who actually needs it for once.
also, i wasnt really arguing there lol... i completely agree with you, and your Castle Zvahl Baileys farming walkthrough will help me greatly if i ever manage to reach that level, thanks to a delevel today back to 45 with me ; ;

Don't gimp yourself because "you don't want to help the gilseller's", that's a lame excuse and they are gonna get their money one way or another anyway.

well I have been saving up for a scorpion harness for the last two months, and I am finally at the quitting point. For every 300K I get for this fucking thing , it increases in value by 500k. :con
So damn it, I will level without one and put up with gilbuyers/elitists giving me crap.
BTW i sold my ochiudos kote as soon as i got my AF gloves.

Let me repeat myself:
If you don't want to get X item, just don't get it. Stop trying to justify yourself in this forum with crass little statements like "I sold my good gloves because I just got some shitty gloves for free." No one actually gives a shit unless they have to party with you, ok? Stop it. Just stop it.
Also, Kirrath, don't you have friends? I could name off probably half a dozen people on Asura who would happily loan me the money I needed and give me a week or three to pay it back. Honestly, I'm starting to think that the people who can't be successful in a video game are unlikely to be successful in real life, since things like economics and networking are vital skills to have.

I sold my kote so I could raise my crafting, with the gil I got from them I managed to get 68 craft levels.
...... so if you suck at a video-game, then you are a failure in real life......
also , no i cant lend gil from anybody of my friends/linkshell. My linkshell is full of people who are on thier first job to 75, so they dont exactly have 5 million gil to lend.
