only info i have right now is he spawns from south >> north landing and if you're healing or a lower level than he is

also i heard that he spawns when that old guy fishes up something

but does he have a timer? i don't wanna spend a fricken whole day camping this stupid NM

Not sure which riverbank, does however only spawn for the long route, the one that takes more than 10min.

As for the aggro thing, sitting down and healing would cause it to aggro?

I remember when I camped it along with the Undead frog thing NM for NIN JSE pants and I never ever saw it but killed the undead thing several times and only got drop once ><

That's an incredible ring for WHM. I just wish it wasn't Rare. I'd trade an Electrum for it any day. An Astral is just 5 more MP with no MND attached.

Astrals are -25hp and give 5 more mp, big whoop. Electrums are a whole lot cheaper to get but also have the -20hp on them. For a mage, 20-25hp is HUGE, especially for a taru mage. The only thing this ring has as a downside is that its lvl25 and not 10 like an astral. It is 15 levels under an electrum ring though which makes it infiniately more useful for a lot longer. Needless to say this is an awesome ring for its level and for certain jobs and set ups. There are more interesting rings out there now with the update, but this one is still very very good, and is in fact better than an astral or electrum.

Got this guy to pop as a 69 Thf, Rested on the side of the barge on the south landing > north landing trip and he appeared, the npc said something once he pope and after I killed him. Dropped a tathlum belt, it dispenses 8 tathlums when you use it.
