Yeah you can... I went there and killed it today.

You don't have to worry, because it pops around H-5, not E-5 (which is off the map area..) I camped it last night..going near the E-5 area..figured something had to be wrong..so I looked it up at alla and they said H-5. There's 2-3 birds in the H-5 square. I killed em a few times and got the drop first kill when the NM popped. It's a nice wand for lower level mages, like a mini dark staff
