Anyway, camped more last night with a friend. Had him camp I-7 since maintence ended, I went around killing the other Overgrown Roses in different spots, just out of curiousity. Nothing. Nothing at all...wtf is with this NM?

This NM doesnt spawn by regular means. I can spawn it every 2HRS now, I figured out the trick. You stand behind the Overgrown Rose after every 2HRS when it's ready to spawn....and you /fume at the Overgrown Rose and eventually it turns into a Rose Garden before your very eyes. That, or it was a dream I had last night...not sure which...

i think this NM is most likely a 21-24 hour spawn, (maybe lottery of Overgrown Rose), during double fire weather (maybe double water, not sure). There are alot of NMs now that are like that during double weather, 21-24 hour spawn. Just a thought since no one can figure it out.

fought him the day after the patch, and yes it was vilma, not rose garden.
We got the vilma's ring, 25hp->mp 1 int, 1 chr, 1 mnd
he was easy, i took it with me and a brd, i was level 70 mnk at the time.
I lost maybe 200 HP total...
AND YES THIS IS VILMA, not rosegarden, i believe that rosegarden is a NQ pop. Just like lordwafic said.

I camped this for 24 hrs straight killing the overgrown rose every 5 mins when it spawned again, when it got really early in the morning I went to bed and woke up every 45mins to kill rose and waited for next pop. Checked the log too and never saw anyone kill it. Sure wish we could figure out how it popped ; ;

SE sure did hand us some strangely behaving NMs this patch, did they not?
It is funny to see some of these new types of behavior on the mobs... and wonder where they are taking the game.
Some examples might be... uh...
Heliodromos... 3 copies spawn at once, and all 3 must be killed within a short period, or they despawn.
Hercules Beetle... Honey in a trap, nice.
Chocoboleech.... new drop in the vicinity, forced pop.
Shikigami Weapon.... spawns and runs around constantly invisible, trackable only with widescan, aggros magic and links only (I beleive).
Gob hnm that ignores known hate rules...
Beastman nms that all hate the current "boss" nm's target...
Same for shen, and his minion that spawns with instance ancient magic...
Antlions that behave a bit like the SC spawn...
Taisaijin "wtf" is all I am going to say about this one.
A good many more as well.
I like the original thinking, but it has lead to frustration on several of the NMs for me. I still can't figure out Meww the Turtlerider... several camp sessions of 2-9 hours at a time, only saw him once, and he did not show in the 21-24.
I can't figure out Noble mold either, still haven't even seen him, but it is rumoured he spawns in rain weather... so I may look into that.
I wanted to take on this NM, but I have heard that people are having a hard time with it. I would love that ring for future use in leveling a mage job, it would be wonderful.
