Use a BRD as the 3rd party member.

it's actually hard with bst, cuz the mobs spam Hex eye so much, it screws up ur pet.

Tried this as RNG/NIN, RNG/NIN, RDM/NIN.

The idea was to kite the Sobbing Eyes down the path while both the RNG killed the compound eyes. Easy in theory until... the moment Gravity lands... "Sobbing Eyes begins casting Breakga", then while we are Petrified we get hit with Hex Eye with Paralyzes you 9/10 actions.

Ya, so we wiped twice.

I would guess your best bet with 3 bst would be to have all the carries each pick their target to get intial hate, then have all 3 carries gang up on one eye which they 'offtank' their original target. The other 2 carries would ideally not be on the same side so hexeye only hits one carrie, the 'offtanked' eyes hitting their targets from behind so hex eye is again ineffective.

You basically want to concentrate all damage on one of the lesser eyes to take it out of the battle, then move onto the other lesser hecteye. This is similar to the stratedgy of nin/whm+nin/war concentrating on killing off one eye at a time (nin/whm hits it in the back, never gets hate or hex eyed because the other one has provoke and backtanks it)with RDM kiting the main one.

I'm guessing you could waste part of the time limit by immediately calling carrie as soon as you enter the bc and let your /ja timer run down a minute or two so you can pull another carrie out when one dies.

Actually 2BST and BRD makes this BC very easy. Hell having the BRD makes the BC super easy, the melee just remember to sub WHM or else they will die from firaga.

OK, can someone just answer 3 questions

1) What do you mean by Breakga, exactly? I was under the impression that the Pertification and Paralysis attacks were Gaze-type, single target, facing only, not AoE.

2) Would it be possible to beat this by having 2 melee voke one of the minor hecteyes each and then beat on the other one of the minor eyes, so that the gaze attacks fail. Meanwhile have a RDM use Gravity, Bind and Stoneskin to kite the main boss, then have both DD attack once the minor mobs are dead?

3) Are the minor eyes charmable at all?

If brd can sleep them I'd imagine ninjas backward tanking/nuking them woud be best.

hey, i would really like to know your secrets if you're willing to tell em, i have the orb and i wanna get this badly. i had an idea, not sure if it would work, SAM RDM BLM. SAM (me) would tank and melee obviously. maybe bring an icarus wing and hi potions for sure. BLM and RDM to start elemental seal Bind 2 of them, spam AOEs then bind again when needed, while SAM focusing on the unbound one, RDM heals too, convert when necessary. i dunno im just trying to think of an idea i could do, i want the charm badly (im a SAM) any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A few members of my ls did this last night 3x and got the charm on the third run. Setup was nin/war, nin/war, rdm/whm. Plan was fairly simple both nin would tank with their backs turned and spam Elemental Ninjitsu to kill the 2 weaker ones. One Nin tanked his with his back turned while the other one tanked the other with their back turned to it as well while also using their katanas on the first nin's mob. The rdm kited the main mob and it is the only one that can cast Firaga. Once both of the weaker ones are dead, the nins tear up the main hecteyes and the rdm keeps the paralyna on them.

Note: Make sure you have a few competent people for this. Another group tried the same setup after hearing about from our members and it didn't work because of noob mistakes.

Incorrect. The Sobbing Eye is immune to sleep/lullaby effects, but the two Compound Eyes are not.

edit: i totally read that post wrong. So 2 bst 1 brd enter, BSTs use call beast and wait till timers are up. Bst then put both pets on the sobbing eye. As crabs are fighting bard sleeps the two compound eyes. Hopefully the 2 crabs can either kill it or get close to killing it, if not use reward and recast your pets when needed. hopefully you can kill the first eye after each bst has used its first two pets. If you can get the sobbing eye killed and the other two slept, i think it wouldn't be that hard, would it? gimme your ideas

another thing, do the BST melee with the sobbing eyes?
if they do, do they melee from the begining or wait till they are on their second pets?
what does breakga do? aoe paralyze or petrify? i can't remember
