Depends on what makes the spells stick better. Obviously for party buffs, you'd want instruments, but for offensive spells...

It might be a hard decision sort of, but with the pathetic duration of offensive spells even when they do land with their instruments I doubt the (maybe) higher chance of landing them for even shorter durations would be worth it. Worth testing perhaps, but I have some serious doubts about the results.
