i'm thinking more quests would need to be done.. since if you talk to your npc and select the second option it repeats alot. Has anyone tried looking for npc related... npcs in the other nations?

I started my NPC out with a GK. If I change the weapon... Does the NPC have to "level up" a new weapon? Can they even change? Also can I change the job of my NPC from Attacker to Sheild? If so do they go back to lvl 30?

no their lvl stays constant, and they automaticaly recieve all weapon skills for the lvl

Can I change their weapon they use? Also if they get ALL WSs... Do they get the quested ones? Like Retribution? Or Relic like Gates of Tartarus?

Also can you give them ranged weapons? That would be neat.

They won't ever give NPCs relic WSs...you know how crazy that would be? 8 people + 8 NPCs with all the NPCs using relic WSs would be a beast at HNMs

The NPC would have to have the wpn to do relic ws.. DUR.

O.o i gave mine a scythe after screwing around with a GKT and he got the Lv.70 DRK JSE Plastron or w/e armor, looks sweet as hell on my taru XD

probably right, but you could switch the .dat's to see you little taru use them ^^

Currently the npc's level ability is capped at 50. Also, only one upgrade is currently availible, as well as headgear is the only current option to be accessed.

Confirmed that 2nd polearm is Bronze Spear (upgraded from Harpoon)

Surprised as hell that I got the 2nd upgrade, seeing as my NPC is still level 30 v_v I use her a lot, duoing with my 28 NIN in Qufim, so I suppose my guess would be that they receive xp much like a PC would, and since she's 30 and I'm fighting mobs that are EM-T to me at 28, she's not getting a lot of xp each time I bring her out I talk with Luto almost every day, think I've summoned Raka about 20 times now.

Ok, I haven't seen anyone else post this, so I thought I might. I was just leveling my NPC (39 Galka attacker with 2nd lvl scythe) in Xarcabard on some gigas (pl?). I dia'ed to start, hit once then started casting stoneskin, and to my surprise, my NPC pulled aggro off me with a critical, then countered the gigas's attack. I was shocked. I never let him get aggro before, so I didn't know he could do that. Has anyone else seen other job traits (besides provoke of course)? I don't think it has anything to do with his weapon, because not many monks use a scythe. =P Any input?

I have my NPC leveled to 34 as a Defender and wanted to know how do I make him into a NIN? Do I just trade the mithra in Jeuno a Kunai and when I do does he get Duel Wield traits? I thought it may be cool to run around as a NIN along side with my NPC. Currently he's acting like a PLD. I also wanted to know if having your NPC as a WHM is really worth it. I've been told they focus more on enfeebling magic vs curing and do they remove status effects and buff you?

cyber, npcs as of now cannot get dual wield. as for healing style, ive heard they rarely cure, but do a good job on buffing and removing status effects. idk that for sure though since mine is attacker.

I thinks that NPC 2nd upgrade from original weapon isnt out yet. Maybe it comes with update?

You can upgrade twice. Once from original weapon to weapon of your choice. Second time to an upgraded version of such weapon (I dont think you can upgrade to a different weapon type but I never tried.). Third upgrade is the one that isnt released. If you havent gotten the second one its because either your npc hasnt been called enough, or you've been dropping your signal pearl. I learned the hard way that dropping your pearl even once, greatly affects the time it takes to get more options.
